I struggled to comple the first story in this book and could not bring myself to listen to the second. The narrator was irritating and the story was very predictable. I was very dissappointed because I generally like Nora Roberts books.
Can't finish it. I don't know what's worse, the story (there isn't one) or the narrator. Another credit wasted. Wish I could listen to some of these first so I didn't waste my money!
This was a awesome book. Reader was okay but I prefer who reads the "In Death" series by J.D. Robb but this reader did well. Also if you go to contact us and put in the request for the sequel they will see it probably faster. Versus asking for it in the review.
Retired high school English teacher. I liked and worked with the at-risk student. Interested in about everything, but I love a good story.
I was appalled with this book. Ordinarily, in the very least, I enjoy Ms. Roberts' characters and the way they approach what are, definitely, mundane romance situations. There was none of that charm in this book. Her characters are lifeless. This is an excellent idea of how not to write a romance novel.
I wish I hadn't wasted the money because I didn't listen to the whole thing. That's an unusual situation for me because I'm relatively accepting.
My oh my. What ever emotions Nora Roberts tried to portray through her well written story was painfully lost with the narrator of choice.
Complete enjoyment..and two stories for the price of one. Loved Nora Robert's lovely flow to the story. Narration is awesome. Not to be missed!
In love with love...
I've officially been taught a lesson about buying a book with a narrator Im not familiar with. I am a huge Nora Roberts fan and this book doesn't disappoint but for me this reader was a whispery, breathy, sultry mess!!! Lord I had a hard time trying to get past her voice. Please listen to the sample to make sure the readers voice doesn't irk you.
I agree with the others - Audible please add the final 2 books of the Donovan Legacy by Nora Roberts ("Charmed" and "Enchanted").
I cannot believe Nora Roberts would write such utter rubbish. Many of NR's books have been thoroughly enjoyable and I am a great fan of her writings. But really ! This book is pure non-sense. Please Nora, get well soon !
