When I clean, drive or exercise I listen to romance. The steamier the better but it must have a great story as well!
"A Terrific Read!"
I was not expecting much of this book, maybe an easy romance. I was surprised of the depth of emotion that it contained! The story rhythm reminded me of reading a diary, so much information is given. It takes a while for the romance to really begin, it was about 2/3 of the way through before things started heating up. The story it's is amazing however, I was thoroughly enthralled by the life experience Liberty has at such a young age. I loved the relationships that she has formed and how she handles love lost and found. Truly an amazing book!
11th/12th Grade Reading Teacher Love reading and love listening to audio books in my car.
"Light Entertainment"
The men in this series are too hunky for words. This is the kind of lignt, no-brainer books I love to "read." It's a little hard to get used to having the love/sex scenes read to me, but I'm lerning to deal with it.
"LOVED it! Follow with "Blue-eyed Devil""
I have listened to this book twice. Loved the story line and characters. Follow these characters in "Blue-Eyed Devil". What a wonderful sequel to Sugar Daddy. Buy it!

"Alas, not up to her usual standards"
Lisa Klypas can do no wrong for me and I usually listen to her Historical Romances so I was surprised and excited to see her delve into another era. Unfortunately I was disappointed - most of part 1 was taken up with too much of Liberty's childhood and love for Hardy that it became boring then suddenly at the end we meet Gage and the story seemed to speed up and then finish. You could actually just listen to part 2 only and nothing much would be lost.
Narrator was just too young, which was fine at the beginning for the age she was but not all the way through.
Message to LK the saying "if it ain't broke then don't try to fix it" applies - you had a winning formula and it didn't need fixing.
Worth a credit? I liked the end so, for that it would be a Yes - but for the whole book then I'd have to say No keep your credit (and I thought I'd never say that about a LK book !).
Audio-fiction ADDICT !
"Brought me back to contemporary again " Spoiler""
One of the good audios I listened to . I stopped reading contemporary romance and been addicted to historical . This book brought me back to contemporary . It was a bit distracting at the first half ofthebook. But it caught up and the second half was amazing.
I always adore incorporation of family ties and paternal emotions and struggles into a story. So I loved Liberty's interaction and struggles to take care other younger sister.
She was a really good narrator !!! I enjoyed her voice for both males and females and also children. She is so animated
"Makes me wish I was in Texas & had me a cowboy"
Can Lisa Kleypas write or what?! The woman puts other authors to shame in this novel. If you???re looking for a classic romance you???re in the wrong section. However, this book only gets bonus points for bringing the reader through the journey of a woman???s life so that not only are you emotionally invested in the story, but you truly understand the decisions she makes when deciding between her two alternate endings. To say it???s one of the best books I???ve read would be an understatement. The narrator performs an authentic Texas accent (coming from a born & raised Texan - that???s sayin??? somethin???) and really does the book justice. Can???t go wrong ??? buy-on-with-your-bad-self. It???s well worth the credit.

"Great Author, Good book"
Lisa Kleypas quickly became one of my favorite romance writers after listening to this book. This book has a mixture of difficult topics, sadness, and joy. Great book all around.
Make sure to "read" _Blue Eyed Devil_ which is the follow up to this book - great book as well!
"Typical, but Very Enjoyable"
This is the first book by Lisa Kleypas, I think. I enjoyed it so much, good story line. I went right on and purchased the next book in this series, Blue Eyed Devil and will get third installment as well, but no historicals. I always want to know what happened to characters in the first book as well as the books following. I did not think I was going to enjoy the narrator in Sugar Daddy, but she turned out to be good. I was reading reviews under Blue Eyed Devil--some were not to pleasing; I am hoping she does not disappoint me. Narrators can make or break a book. No matter, I do enjoy Ms Kleypas' writings.
"3.5 Stars"
Sugar Daddy was an ok book. I enjoyed Liberty and the way the book took us through her growth. I just wish Gag would have shown up earlier in the story. The narrator was ok...just a little too high pitched. However, Blue-Eyed Devil(next book in the series) more than made up for this slow moving story. It's narrator and story were wonderful!!
"Sugar Daddy"
I enjoyed the story. The second half was better more because it moved faster. The first part was way too detailed. Enjoyabe...like a good B movie. Reader's voice was way too high...good for child's voice but couldn't pull off mature voice.
