Good book but not the best in the series. Story coverage of Joe was weak, focused on Elvis. I felt character development across the board was a bit soft. Regardless, If you are a fan, it is worth the credit. If you are looking to test the waters, there are much better books to start.
Fine book. The narrator's voice demolishes Elvis Cole's character. After 45 minutes I had to stop listening. I read the book and enjoyed it immensely.
I would listen to this again, and actually am right now with my husband. This book has a great reader and the story is full of action and love and humor, and intrigue through the whole book. Was sorry when it ended.
Yes, there were a few plots and they were intertwined through out the book.
There were many good ones, but I love all the scenes when Joe Pike and Elvis Cole are together, they are a great team and it's fun to listen to their banter.
I always love the humour in the way Crais writes.
...always has a twist
I can't really pick a favorite... I'm amazed that he can stay in character for so many people!
The reader captured Elvis Cole as clever, funny and low key, not as the typical tough guy.
Although the ending was predictable in some ways, there were still surprises. I did have a hard time turning it off.
Loved him. He portrayed Elvis Cole the way I imagined him to be from reading many of the books.
I could have.
