Yes for sure! What a great book. I loved how I thought I knew what was happening then I didnt!
Great book all the way around, Love, Murder, Mystery and I laughed out loud. My favorite Line in the book was.... A 4 letter word for a women that ends in unt?
Female chick from the eastern shore of Maryland digging the audio thing. :)
Poorly written, eye-rolling story paired with characters you don't give a rat's ass about equals a waste of my time listening to it. I kept hoping it would get better and it really didn't.
Having listened to many audible titles, I find that the narrator makes all the difference in my enjoyment of the book. Tim Matheson, while a fine screen actor, is not a good voice actor. His slight variations of tone for the separate characters was not enough to delineate who was speaking and it was easy to get confused. The more I listened, the less I liked his reading of the book. And that's what it was. Just a reading. He brought nothing at all to the story, in my opinion, actually subtracted from an already thin story.
There were many good comments in the reviews about this book and how funny it was. Perhaps my sense of humor is not aligned with the writer's because there was not one single bit of it that was humorous. All of it was overwrought, stupid drivel. (Yes, I do feel strongly about it.) I regret wasting a credit and my time on this book.
Tucked away in the beautiful mountains of New Mexico.
This book languished in my library for a long time. I'd have listened much sooner if I had known it would be such fun. I enjoy sarcastic humor, and there is plenty in this book. I even laughed out loud a few times.
If you are looking for a fun, quick listen with some plot twists, I'd suggest giving this book a try.
Tim Matheson's reading was very entertaining. Brought the characters to life. We listened to this on a long car trip with another couple. We all kept wanted to get back into the car, so we could hear what happened next.
The book is so tongue in cheek that I don't know how the narrator could keep a straight face (not explode in laughter). It is also so preposterous as to be almost believable. A well told, well read and funny listen.
This is an amusing book. Not so funny that you will worry about losing control of your car, but with several laugh-out-loud passages. The premise is a little strained, but well worked. Good enough to spend the time on.
