i?loved gths story. A non-fiction story written as a novel. I purpisely took walka over 3 days to listen to this book. Don't pass up on this wobderful Ubot and diver friendship story.
...you get the weird feeling that the city's electrical power is generated from everyone buried there.
I will listen to anything narrated by Campbell Scott. He truly has one of the greatest voices of all time. This listen was fantastic. The story is fascinating and the production was done really well. We do not often discover a German u-boat at the bottom of the sea that was previously unaccounted for. The story is exciting, the action is dangerous, and the people left an emotional impression on me. I will definitely be listening again. Really loved this one.
Robert Kurson has found and told an incredible story that anyone who likes non-fiction will enjoy.
He gives a great background into diving, German U-boats, WWII and more.
I love books that get me excited to research the subject which I found myself doing a lot during and following listening to this memorable book.

Mr Scott was excellent, specifically when reading about the emotional turmoil the divers were experiencing. His voice was such a pleasure to listen to that I will want to read anything else that he has read.
the emotional aspect portrayed by this writer was brilliant.
As a fellow diver of over 30 years of diving experience, I must say I felt like I was there at the U boat wreck! Would love to see more books like this one for us the divers!!
I could not stop listening to this one. The characters were well read and the story is rock solid. Makes me wonder what else is on the bottom of the oceans.
This book is awesome. If you are not a scuba diver, you will be love this story. If you are a scuba diver, you will listen in awe. If you have ever done a wreck dive and penetrated a shipwreck, you will have the best time picturing what these guys did in your mind's eye. This is a must listen for anyone interested in WWII history and/or scuba diving. The interview, at the end of the book, with the subjects is great too!
