Series is difficult to continue. This one however seems to be continued with effortless after three books I am convinced that the rest of the series will be just as good as the first
I drive at least 2-3 hours a day and have been listening to Taylor Anderson's Destroyermen series. I simply can't get enough - I used to dread my commute time, but now I look forward to every chance I get to listen. I've even exchanged my music list while jogging for more time to listen to these stories. Dufris is amazing as the narrator; he has brought each of the characters alive. I will be incredibly sad when I have completed the series (and will likely grieve by listening to them all over again!!!). I'm simply addicted to this story and hope Mr. Anderson has no plans to stop the series any time soon.
Love to read or listen....busy all of the time except when I am out and about....
Ahead of the rest, but not number one
The last third of the book when the planning all comes together
The coming together of Becky the strip lizard with the crew.....
Book made me laugh in many different locations through out the book....it was fun.
I don't like the rehashing of the features of the past book....
The whole alternate Earth landscape adds to the mystery and beauty of this series, always injecting itself into the strife and battles that occur, a menacing factor that seems to be just below the surface, ready to gobble up any hapless victim or straggler that falls behind. This book accounts for both sides of this other worldly struggle, as a defeated Grik force, amasses its forces for a confrontation with the formerly peaceful Lemurians
Dennis Silva, a slapstick naval officer with charismatic charm to heighten your sense of patriotism and loyalty to ones fellow crew mates. His character immerses you into his shoes as you are living the role.
Dufris is spot on in maintaining a distinct voice for nearly all characters, even the somewhat mindless Grik are differentiated in their speeches.
Definitely eager to never stop listening, this makes my daily commute to work so enjoyable and time just whisks by as the story progresses.
I really liked the first two books in this series. This one was really slow and boring. Did not finish it. Lousy follow up book.
This book seemed to have been broken off of another book - seems to not have any actual story other than to roll of the first and lead into the 3rd book
I don’t have a lot of time for reading, but Audible allows me to listen to all the great books that I thought I would never get to read.
Alternate history and military SCI-FI fans will love these books! I have listened to the first four and I enjoyed them all.
I love this whole series . I have not actually read any of the books--just listened to them. The narrator does a great job with the voices and accents. I couldn't wait for the next book each time.
I recommend it to anyone
I like the characters and the interaction between them.
Didn't like the ending that much. Did not get the 4th book yet because I was getting bored and didn't like where the story was heading.
I like how William reads.
I would but doubt that others would find it as interesting as me.
Will probably buy the next book soon.
