Christopher Moore as always is hilarious, This is not meant for serious hearted and there are certainly moments you need to suspend belief, However your usually laughing to hard to care.
this like all moore's books is a fantasy, a fairy tale of gigantic proportion totally light and funny.
Moore always does a great job and this one is no exception. Very funny, a great listen, a unique tale that has something for everyone who walks a little left of center!!
I really liked this book AND the narrating. Two thumbs up! I was apprehensive at first, but won't hesitate with the bizarre subjects moving forward. :-) I would totally recommend this book :-)
I have listened to many of Moore's books and bought this one reluctantly. The plot seemed silly and I couldn't imagine how a sea beast in a small town would be plausible (if any of his stuff can be described that way) or made entertaining. When it was done, it had become one of my favorites (behind Fool and Lamb). It's hard to say why, though, since the plot was as odd as Moore's usual stuff; it just had that vibe that made it fun and quirky. I smiled a lot. In a way, it reminded me a bit of Hiassen, but without the really tripped out characters (and, of course, that extra touch of whimsy that only a fantasy creature can bring). If you are afraid it's too weird, don't be--it's fun.
My grandchildren think I'm silly when I make up poems for them. My wife thinks I'm silly when I suggest that she should take out the trash, just once. But this book is just too silly.
I love the multiple dimensions that books offer as a place to dwell for moments or the end of time.
One of my fav Custody Moore books. Great characters, fun and witty dialogue and story. Lots of lol moments.
great reader! vastly enjoyable story with witty characters. ..mr. moore does it again! splendid! grand!
Moore is one of my favorite authors, one who makes me laugh out loud as I'm listening to my audio book while making my long commute. Delightful story tellung.
