This was a page turner from beginning to end.I couldn't wait until the next chapter and when it ended ,I wanted more. The ending was listened in my car and when the tale twisted once again, I held up traffic because I couldn't believe what transpired. The characters fell into place with each twist and turn. I love a book that holds your suspense and just when (you) think you have it solved , the bottom drops out and you are left with one thought: give me another Tammi Hoag book.
The narrator was excellent and kept the listener glued to every word . Sam and Nikki are great together but with such a supporting cast to fall back on , it can be realized that this is a WINNER !
I have to rate this a "Perfect 10" from start to finish. The best Hoag novel I've read.....it had the perfect balance of suspense, drama, and a little touch of romance. I set a record listening to this one and didn't want it to end. I would like to see Hoag write a sequel so we could continue with the books main players........download it you won't be disappointed!
Let me start off by saying that I am a woman so when I say women have no right to write crime novels this is from my womens point of view. When I want to read a crime novel I expect it to be down dirty and gritty. If I want to read a love story then I will buy one but you can not mix the two which is what she was trying to do. I didnt want to know how horrible her marriage was or what her politcal believes are. Just give me a good old sit on the edge of your seat who done it right up until the end book. By the way this book was so bad I could not even finish. I also will not listen to a book that is narrated by a woman because they are horrible at the different voices. This narrator sounded just like a women his voice was very irritating. The villians sounded like little kids. As a side note when I read reviews on my crime novels from now on I will make sure that I rely on only mens review weather or not it was good.
