I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the excellent naration made it even better. In many cases, I felt the narator was almost acting out the parts. It made it very easy to know what was going on and to enjoy the uniqueness of each of the main characters. The book has many twists and turns that keep you going until the very end. I highly recommend this book.
The story is a bit gruesome, but the plot is carefully crafted so that your suspicions about the true perp are teased right up until the climax. A bit too much of the tough cop talk, yet the book is entertaining, well written, and enjoyable.
Like many others, this was my first Tami Hoag book, and I was not disappointed! It had an array of well developed characters, a very human and likeable main character, and a suspenseful storyline sprinkled with bits of humor that kept me perpetually interested despite its length. I look forward to listening to more of her work, hopefully with a different narrator. This would have received 5 stars if not for the staccato, Captain Kirk-like delivery of Holter Graham (I think I have been spoiled by Scott Brick).
In short, a highly recommended book, especially for those who have not been introduced to Tami Hoag.
This is the first Tami Hoag book I have read in years and I'm adding this author to my "must read" list. Very well crafted and narrated. I highly recommend.
An entertaining read that kept my attention the whole time with its "whodunnit" approach. Rather predictable "love interest" side but a good ride nonetheless.
This audiobook was long - but excellent. The narrator had a very smooth voice. I couldn't wait to listen to a few more chapters once I got started but had to stop. The story line was great as were the characters. This was my first Tami Hoag book, and now I am hooked. WELL WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!
Good narrative flow – great suspense – interesting characters - excellent narration. The only weakish point is the basic premise of the story, that practically an entire city would be incandescently enraged by a judge’s pretrial ruling. Suspend belief, and enjoy!
