insightful, gracious, liberating
This author links valuable information from traditional stories with psychoanalytical ;theories in a fun, accessible way. wow.
This was my first but I have since listened to many and this is one of my favourites ..
To be our natural selves is so important. Women are different from men and that's ok.
I love the author's messages so much I gave a copy to my daughter who is emerging into womanhood. This book has been life changing for me.
And I feel that the author narrating it gives it additional life. I too, tried to read the book awhile back and just couldn't get into it. The audiobook is a whole other story. If you are trying to reclaim your wild woman... this is it.
Dr. Estes is a fantastic keeper of the stories. Her story telling leves you wanting more. Well researched and presented. I recommend any of her work. This one is a great start into her many works
I like how she shares the stories and makes the revelancy to todays world.
This one is just as amazing as any of her books
I read the book after it came out and loved it.
This audio version was flat and boring due to the narrator. This was very disappointing. Another narrator might have given it more life.
I couldn't get through the first chapter; I was too anoyed! When a Jungian Psychoanalyst begins a sentence with, "I think Jung said..." I worry. She talks off the top of her head... I'm disappointed that I wasted my money.
someone who has been really repressed and lived an emotionally painful life
most of it
this is just the opinion of someone and it sounds rambling in nature, not like a book at all. It's like sitting down with an acquaintance for lunch and having her tell you what's wrong with you and how to fix it.
