Most of this book is minus the main characters and those parts are sooo boring and tend to repeat. i found my mind drifting during those parts. I recommend skipping those parts. This book is just ok. Not his best - just ok.
I just achieved App Master!! I never thought I would make it this far!! Thanks Audible
Yes, I would skip the middle though!!!
It stands alone.
You can feel the hurt in Richard at times.
I didn't know where they were going with the whole minster of defense story but it came out in the end. Everything comes out in the end and the last part is awesome,I was on the edge of my seat when Kahlan was done for and Richard was their but not their for her! I just wanted to say its Kalhan. In all the other you could séance her presence what's is going on!!! So I'm starting the 6th book!!
Soul of the Fire was not my favorite bok in fhis series. Parts were just down right boring. That being said, it really got better as the book went on and I am now purchasing ghe next book because I wanttk see where the story goes.
It was ok, felt like not much of the main character story going on. Was all focused on the political center point of the plot, which to me was boring and had a hard time focusing. With that said, Terry still did a good job telling it and weaving everything together. The ending also felt lackluster and felt empty. I will continue on finishing this series of course.
I love this series and hate this book. One would think that the narrator would at least read the previous books to get the name, city pronunciation consistent. The other thing I could not stand about this book is Kahlan sounds like a little wimp in this book, not the confident heroine of the story
this was in my opinion a filler book. nothing is resolved or learned. It is a predictable book. Richard doesn't even use the sword the whole book. this just wasn't my favorite. narrators voice is nice except when it comes to imagining women's voices he sometimes squeaks.
Buck Schirner is a good narrator especially when compared to Jim Bond however even a the best narrator can't turn a bad book into a good one. When writing it is sometimes necessary to have a character with few to no redeeming qualities, characters like that can be very difficult to write. Unfortunately Mr. Goodkind seems to be extraordinarily good at writing characters with no redeeming qualities as they comprise about 70% of all the characters in this book.
