It's a great story. Everybody know the story of Peter Pan. This let you know how it all started
Peter was thrown overboard and started to fly for the first time
Yes. He changed his voice. Some of the characters sounded alike but you could still tell who was talking by the scene.
When Peter jumped without being pushed to Mister Grin
Several parts in the book was read wrong. Example: He said King instead of Queen. He read a few chapter titles wrong. I assume that the book is different in other countries or something. I like to read the book while listening to it. But when the reading is slightly different than the book, this can throw you off.
My son says: It's as good as Harry Potter and as exciting as Eragon.
My son says: Peter!...because he is brave and funny and thinks he's the boss and likes to be older than other kids he meets. He's funny.
My son says: Jim Dale is the BEST story teller ever! He knows how to create all the feelings of the characters and the action of the story. You feel like you are there....you wish you were. It's hard to turn off a book when he is reading it to you.
My son says: I laughed a lot and sometimes I was shocked.
My son says: I recommend this book. It was totally great.
i really enjoy listening to Jim Dale read and its a plus that this story is wonderful too.i have always loved the little boy never getting older story and i love the pirates! its got great action and lovely scary parts too.
Fantastic pre-quel to the traditional Peter-Pan story you're likely familiar with. The kids loved listening to it on recent roadtrip and can't wait for the next book, and amazingly enough, for the next long drive. Highly recommend as an entertaining adventure for the young as well as those whose birthday might suggest otherwise.
The british accent of the voice talent lended to the authenticity, but was a hard to follow at times - download the highest quality you can.
JIM DALE gives one of the best readings Ive ever heard and is the new man of 100 voices!
The book is fast paced and superbly written. Really enjoyed listening to it.
My son enjoyed the book so I decided to try it out. I did enjoy it but felt the audience for the book was not my age group but young teens. A little too simple to warrant a five star. I still do not know if I would go on to listen to the next three books. Not a bad quick book to get but be ready for a simple, predictable plot. It would be an easy five star book if I was 12 years old.
The authors do a wonderful job of rewriting the story of peter pan. They've turned a classic children's fairy tale story into a wonderul adventure and really brought it to life. I love how they incorporated the orginal bits and pieces of the story of peter with their own back story. Wonderful book, I highly recommend it!
I'm a Denver based web designer who enjoys having (or making a commute) so that I can listen to my favorite books.
I'm not just giving Peter and the Star Catchers a good review to boost it or anything, I really do feel like its a good book and worthy of a five star rating. I've been listening to it in the car and have had to catch myself because I was so into the story, I wasn't really aware of what was going on around me.
There's no reason you should believe me, I'm just another person in the crowd, but I liked this book enough to take some time and write a review and that should tell you that its worth your time and is a great read/listen. I also like Jim (the narrator's) characters and voices.
