Couldn't even finish listening to this . The whole thing is slow and has a lot of genealogical information that is extraneous to the plot.
no, great story but dont like her detailed sex decription, it does not seem to fit with the story.Could be so much better without that.
I was confused by the quick appearance of different characters. Perhaps reading the other books first might have helped. The plot, once it developed, was predictable. The "performance" was nothing special. I did finished the book to see if I had the plot figured out. I did.
ho hum yawn
I am a 43 year old mother of 4, I have a great husband and I am a nurse. I love to spend time with my family and ride atv's. Romance and humerous books are my favorite and I am currently listening to a lot of amish romance books.
I love the way these books are written and the way all the people seem to come together to help anyone in need.
She is always great.
yes, the whole series is great and it's hard to stop listening.
Continuation of the existing characters with adding Mike and Brees' new story to the mix.
When Bree gave herself to Mike after her rape.
I love the way Therese reads stories. She just puts you into the scene with her inflections and voice changes.
When Brenda ran into Tom's arms.
All of them. A close knit family not afraid to love and care for each other.
She brings them all to life.
Preacher. He'd grumble the whole way.
Full of hope, courage and love.
An enjoyable read, on its own or as part of the series. I originally listened to the books as I came upon them and enjoyed them so much I listened to them again in order.
Another great romance from Robyn Carr. I love a good romance, but I like for there to be a mystery for the reader to decipher or some sort of drama from which the characters grow. This book has all of that... It shows characters with rich character development, and also those with very immature character development -- unethical characters. This book addresses the impact of rape, date rape, adultery and betrayal, and life after those devastating events. The tone and tenor of the book is solemn and respectful. As a character... you are either in the respectful good guy/gal camp -- or not. The tone and tenor is very different from the Kresley Cole series -- paranormal with flippant sarcasm. I like both types of tones even though they are so different. I'll definitely download the next Robyn Carr book. I'm a fan.
When Preacher declares that it's ovulation day.
She's an excellent narrator and I liked her for MOST of the book. I don't like it when she speaks in Spanish because the accent is all wrong. In the future, she should get a latino actor to come in and then mimic the phrase for the audio version. Otherwise, she's one of my favorites.
Maybe Mel. She's very likable and seems like she could carry a great conversation. She respects your privacy but will be open and honest. When Jack had concerns about Mike dating his sister Bree and stated something to the effect that Mike was a dog and probably wanted to get laid, Mel responded saying that that was irrelevant. She noted that it shouldn't count against Mike if he wants to get closer to the woman he loves.
