Love to read and really enjoy listening to a good reader!! :)
I loved this Audio Book didn't want it to end :) you won't regret this buy!
An audible addict:)
Very good dramatisation
Scarlet - she was misterious, honest, funny and woman..
I always liked Jennifer Cruise's stories but listening to this one narrated by Aasne Vegesaa was exceptionally funny. I laughed out loud so often. Even the sex scenes were hysterical. It was such lighthearted fun!
Her delivery was so perfect
I could barely put this down. I loved it.
It was well written. The plot was clever. It was not silly like some books of this genre. It is not a heavy literary experience, but that is not what I wanted. It lightened my mood. Good escapist listening.
She adds an additional dimension to the reading experience. I appreciate her talent.
I read the book before I got the audible version. It's an unusually well-written romantic comedy -- reminds me of the movie His Girl Friday. The plot is unusual, the characters are well-realized and distinctive, the viewpoint is humorous, unusual and occasionally poignant, and the dialogue is excellent.
But the reader for this audible version (Aasne Vigesaa) sounds like an escapee from an auction yard for the first few chapters. She speaks so rapidly it's hard to understand her, and she rushes the wryly understated commentary. She has a few good voices for her characters, but in general they are pretty generic and hard to distinguish. She got better towards the middle of the book -- slowed down a little, with smoother transitions. But in general the book got short-changed by the audible version.
Other Jennifer Crusie books ("Bet Me", read by Deanna Hurst and "Maybe This Time" read by Angela Dawe) were very listenable as audible books.
Great story ! it was fun exciting and love ! who could ask for more :)
Mom of three
I enjoyed Faking It although it was not my favorite Crusie book. The narration did not take away from the story. The characters are definitely different. If you are looking for a light, easy summer listen this will foot the bill.
This is one of my all time favorite Jenny books. I listen to it over and over again. It never gets old
Although I enjoyed Anyone But You and Bet Me, this book was very disappointing. If this had been the first book I listened to, I would have never listened to another one... Not worth your money or your credit!
I enjoyed Welcome to Temptation so much that I got Faking It. To me this was better than WTT. The ending was the best. The closet scene was so funny I laughed until I cried tears. I loved all the characters and wish there was another so I could revisit them. Jennifer Crusie has an excellent mix of love, romance and humor in her books. I will listen to this one many times. A couple of people said they didn't like the narrator but I thought she was great.
Faking It stands on it's own you (even though it is a sequil) Some books you have to read/listen in order but this one you don't. You will fall in love with Davey and Tillda. Now, if she could just let us know how Simon & Eve and Gwen & Thomas turn out I would be happy! More please!!
