Kevin did a fantastic job reading the true story, with the presentation of characters, so as to make them real.
The story line hit home with me, as I joined the military about the same time as Carlos. I could relate to some of the training, as I had experienced it myself. The way it was told in the story was bang on. Loved this book and wish there were more like it. Well done!
This book and reading of have done a superb justice to, and in honor of, one of the greatest men in American Military History, and a legend among the daring few who have made their marks throughout the history of war.
As the title said. One of the best war stories of all time. The sniper technics of that age far surpasses the technology aided sniping of today
"Through and through a humble champion that makes most of today's war stories seem like video game mission one hour at a time"
This guy was absolutely amazing and I hope to find another book on him the detail weren't quite as riveting as for example the reaper but this guy has more skill and is more badass than any other warrior I've read or heard about he's right there with the white death
Seriously is downplayed and gives Carlos a humble black and white image I've read about most ever popular modern sniper and no one holds a candle I assure you
Sorry for bad grammar phones shattered haha
I loved the focus on one single element of the Vietnam war. It wasn't the usual "war is hell" "why are we here" Vietnam story. It's a story of the development and success of the sniper program during the war.
I listen to a lot of "war" audio books. This one what probably the best I've listened to so far.
