I really am hooked on the "Outlander" series.
I think the history is very well researched and very well detailed. I really enjoy getting lost in the Fraser's life and loves. Many, many interesting characters to get to know. A really fun and engaging read!
Absolutely frikkin' awesome
Without a doubt Jamie Frasier
Without a doubt Jamie Frasier
Not really, only when I thought Rollo was going to die by axe! I wanted to fast forward
The end was so sudden .... I didn't see it coming. So many loose ends that I hope are going to be dealt wih in the next book... Can't wait!
Donna Lee Walker
The reader was wonderful ... love her voice inflection
anything else in the series
Jamie and Claire continues
when will the next one be ready?
I have read and listened to every one of these books and the last three must be the most boring books I have ever read or listened to. I keep waiting for something interesting to happen but nothing ever does. This is such a sad ending to such a womderful love story What could have happened to this author it is almost as if she died and someone else decided to pick up the story!I will never listen to another one of her books
The consistency of the story, the thread of characters and twist through what may or may not have happened in the past. I am really eager for the next book, I would love to see what happens with the little one….. without giving the story line away
I think the match between the author and Davina is PERFECT. I think it sooo wise to retain Davita, she has so got into the characters, is consistent in tone, un-written interpretations. I love listening to her!
I have listened to this series end to end 3 times now..... yeah, ok I'm an addict.... I really like the story.
Absolutely incredible story
Everything. Specifically, the love continues unabated between Jamie and Claire. Roger and Bree begin to enter more into the story so that when Jamie and Claire get older, there is always the new family. And, there seems to be another time travel episode in the making. I love the whole theme. I find that now that I've listened to the entire 7 book series I am even more entranced than when I read the words. Audible makes it come to life. Davina Porter is magnificent and speaks for the characters as though they, themselves, were speaking the words. The love scene descriptions are ear burning.
Jamie without a doubt. He is so strong and so vulnerable. His love for Claire is beyond compare and he is just a perfect hero.
When Lord John and Claire are married for her protection. It is even more clear just how much Lord John loves Jamie and all things about him. Then, when they make love and her discussing it the next morning, it is so poignant when they both recognize that they are both imagining Jamie....then when Jamie shows up it is wonderful. I can just see the looks on all their faces, including young William.
I just love these books. I have listed to all seven straight through and am now back to the first one. Hurry Diana and get that 8th one published.
LOVE all of the Outlander Series (and of course Davina Porter!!), but found the series starting to flag a little in comparison with the first two books. This book brings it all back and then some - I don't know what I am going to do until the next one is out - - Absolutely great read!
I would shorten the book. Good story, but too much detail at points. I don't need to hear the details of the couples' lovemaking over and over.
Yes. Excellent expression and tone.
Diana Gabaldon never fails to captivate. This is my all time favorite series. I have read the series five times and I never fail to be thoroughly involved.
I would compare the entire series to Sara Donati's Wilderness series. In fact, I love the cross over characters with an entirely different story.
She makes me feel, see and smell the story. I love everything she performs.
Can't wait for the next book!
All the Diana Gabaldon books are great reading - in print or audible. An Echo in the Bone is one of the best
Jamie of course!!! Jamie in todays words is street smart. He knows how to fight, to stay alive, and yet is good natured and easy going.
Jamie. She has the accents and the Gaelic down pretty well. Good be a bit more brogue but okay the way it is!
Read the book. They always destroy the story line in movies.
