What I don' like about these series is that you can't choose what books of the bible you want to listen to because it is not listed on the cover, which is very irritating.
I've heard other audio Bible readings, but they can get monotonous to listen to, or the effects are corny sounding.
This audio is perfect: it's not overdone, but has just enough dramatization to keep it interesting while listening.
I believe it's important to read the Word of God, but I don't seem to make the time like I should, so listening to it has really been helpful. I would like to thank all of the participants of this audio Bible for their time and effort in making this available.
I've been through this bible a few times.
The voices and background music is great.
Spiritual understanding comes through relationship with the Author seeing He is Spirit.
I highly recommend this audio book to those who want to enter through the words into an experience with the Author. For that is the highest purpose of this book.
The quality of sound, the reader's performances, and the lovely non-intrusive musical background and breaks was extremely pleasant listening, and enhanced the presentation of the Word.
The performance of the music and reading was flawless! However; unless I really missed something, the ability to negotiate the chapter and verse was non-existent. Very odd.
Stars are not required-it goes against the Bible to make the Word about providing others with fame or fortune.
The dramatization was very poor. You had a woman reading as Jeremiah, Solomon, Obadiah a day Zechariah, come on, they are men. It was so poor I listened for the Scripture itself and not for the dramatization, it was awful. There was no feeling in the Reading of the book, no expression. The spoke of people talking in anger and yet the reader is as calm as a lamb. Absolutely no thought went into it. The New Testament was done better than the Old. The psalms had one voice throughout and yet we know it that it has multiple authors. For a bible publisher like Zondervan, that was poor. I'm glad I didn't purchase this for money, or else I would be requesting it back, it's that bad. Oh the stars are for the KJV version.
