A gadabout with no room for heavy books, so love the audio ones.
This is like listening to a kids cartoon. The voices are annoying. I got 3/4 through and then came the "English" voice, which is actually a bad Australian one, and I had to shut it off.
I wanted funny. I wanted vampires. I got it. I'm always fascinated by the various takes on vampires and this one is too cute. I was immediately hooked. I haven't heard the radio in my car since I bought this one. I'm excited to hear the rest but afraid to finish them too soon.
I live to ride my bike.
This is the first novel in the series. I listened to the first few chapters 3 times and still was confused with the interaction among the characters. The dialog which should be light an entertaining is stilled, force, and out of context. This is one series I will not buy again. The fangs series by Molly Harper is one which delivers, snappy conversation, interesting characters and entertaining plot.
For all of you out there looking for a Sookie Stackhouse replacement, you will be disappointed. If you take this line for the story being told, you will enjoy it! I did.
I'm a retired nurse and my husband owns a machining company. We live in a small town 30 miles East of San Diego. We love to cruise!
I was excited at the prospect of a fun series but after hearing the first book, I don't think I want to continue. I just couldn't warm up to the main character, Betsy. She is really irritating! Too whiny and sarcastic. She sounds more like a teenager than a 30 yr. old. After reading some of the other reviews on the other books, it sounds like she doesn't develop in character much. Oh, well!
Quirky, sexy and fun. I enjoyed the youthful point of view. Has some very detailed sex scenes which I enjoyed, but may not be appropriate for all ages.
If one were to take out all of the curse words, the audiobook would be half the length. I don't mind a few curses, but jeeze! I don't know what was more annoying, all the crude language or the irritating voice that read them.
I actually enjoyed this story. The narrator is not the best, but if you can get past that point, the listening is enjoyable. Good summer read or for light listening.
