This book is captivating from beginning to end, I didnt put it down. As having been diagnosed with a mental disorder, I could relate to this 200%. Very descriptive and well read. I plan on reading it again!!
This was a nice free preview into the Soul Screamers series. I am not sure how I will feel about the series yet but the free preview got me to buy the first one. Hey it’s free why not try it out.
I really enjoy this series. This was a refreshing topic in the Paranormal genre. I'm an older reader, and there is a bit more sexual content than I would necessarily prefer (for the teen audience), so keep that in mind if you are considering this for your child. (The two main male characters both have a reputation as a 'ladies man', and it's brought up alot.) I know this is a natural topic for teens, but the heroine never makes a clear decision on it for herself, other than an internal conflict of whether she should be sexually active or not. so I'm not sure what the authors point is, in keeping her indecisive. So that's really my only complaint. That it feels as if it should be geared to older teens (17 and up) or adults. Again that's my only complaint. The context of the story is awesome.
I have enjoyed this free audiobook. I listened to this at work, and it made the time fly by. The story was suspenseful and at times I was like "what the heck" when some of the supernatural stuff appeared. Overall it was good.
I "liked" this book enough to give it a second listen (in hopes that it would spark up some interest for me) but not enough to buy the second book. The writing was okay, not a whole lot to get excited about, but I thought the characters could do with a bit more meat added to them. The main character just seemed like too much of a whiner to deal with and she never had a sensible solution to any of her situations. The best friend was tolerable, but I couldn't get a good sense of any of the others or what they were like. All in all it's not the greatest book ever written.
I probably wouldn't recommend this book. It isn't that great of a story, maybe if their we're more added to it, making the girls problems have a solution and more of a meaning why they happen. But if someone wanted to listen to a short story to pass the time I guess this would be the one,
The ending was the most disappointing.. She wasn't helped and she was leaving while the other girl was suffering.
The aunt was the best performance by the narrator.
It wasn't good and it want totally bad, so I'm neutral on if its worth the listen. It would have been much better if their had been more to it. But it gives you something to think about,

As an intro to a series, this is so not appealing. I will not be looking for more. However, the narrator did a decent job with an unappealing story. The main character was pathetically weak, and the one character that I found worth rooting for - sad, sad, end.
I am in my mid 50s love reading and continue my love for reading with audio books while driving helps me relax quietly after all day talking
the narrator was monotone and the story never explains what was real or in her head
when she would jump between characters stating there names was very annoying
not at this time
there were no characters that needed cutting but they all needed more developing
this story had great potential with a better narrator and more time to understand the characters and personality
