Love a well told story (all genres) with a flavor of romance.
I enjoyed the 2nd book in John Wells series as much as Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn. Fast pace, full of actions, coherent story, and gripping from the start to the end. Narration by George Guidall is great as always.
very good. even better than the first. I was hesitant to get it since they have changed the narrator. but it was good regardless good thing they kept the same narrator until the last book.
Good, Not, Best.
Good book but not the best in the series. I enjoyed the characters and that John finally got together with Jen but then it drags on. However, I rather listen to the dull adventures of John Wells than anyone else's writing.
Would recommend this book if you are looking for something in between other reads to fill the gap.
George Guidall is definitely worth the time by himself. He brings the characters to life and I can see in my mind's eye what the characters would look like and he is believable.
I do not believe this book would make a good movie on its own; it would need some help. But if I were to give it a title or tag line than maybe: True Allies.
Alex Berenson is an awesome author and even when he is off the mark he is still one of the best out there; I will give this book a pass and continue to be a loyal fan, you should too.
The Wolf Posse
Yes. This book tells a fictional story about the war on terror in a way that brings to light many truths about this conflict that people need to hear.
I liked the fact that Alex Berenson tells this story and all of the stories in this series in a very nuanced way. James Wells has some compassion for the Muslim faith even as he hunts down terrorists. He is aware of the fact that many innocent Muslims get caught up in the conflict and that many U.S. policies actually feed the fire of terrorism and encourage more jihadists. The CIA often causes more problems than it fixes and often hangs their operatives out to dry. Wells is caught between conflicting factions often.
I've always liked George Guidall's narrative style. Easy to listen to.
Can't think of one right now.
This is a great series. I highly recommend.
Good story, enjoyed this 2nd book in the series a bit more then the 1st. I think the character of John Wells was better developed - got more insights in his character.
And as always George Guidall's performance was exceptional and that made a big difference compared to the first book.
Way too much time spent on the side stories and setting up explanations to support main storyline. Felt like I was reading a history book.
Adding George Guidall's voice lends this series credibility and realism that wasn't found with the narrator of the first book. Mr. Guidall offered the tone and depth to the characters that enticed me to the story. I look forward to the hearing the next book. Great Performance!
This book was probably better than the first one, the story was so captivating from the beginning to end. I can't wait to get started with the next book. I am a fan for life of Alex Berenson, great series. You would enjoy it too, don't miss out on it.
I decided to try the John wells series. However the stories are very average and predictable. They're much better series out there.
