"Not the worst, but certainly not his best"
Yes. The story kept momentum.
The good guys win - they always do with a Reacher story.
I think it was the recording of the performance by Dick Hill. Mr. Hill's reading of the story, his moderate Russian accents were well executed, but I think the tonal quality could have been enhanced a bit more. It sounded a bit tin-ny, even with a new set of Sony Earphones.
No.
How in this world could they have cast Tom Cruise as a blonde 230 pound 6'5" Jack Reacher?
"One of the best Reacher books in the series!"
Dick Hill's style of narrating brings this fast-paced Jack Reacher book to life.
One of Lee Child's best!
"On the Edge"
This Novel pulls you to the edge of you seat and keeps you there. All of Reacher Novels are well written and hen Dick Hill narrates you get great voices and convincing emotions threw his reading.
The opening chapters where the gun man kills his victims. The way this sets up the story keeps you guessing who really did it all the way until the end.
I have listened to all the Reacher novels, and a few other Dick Hill narratives. He is one of the best.
A few as with all if the Reacher novels.
A great series, can't wait for the movie. Don't like Tom for Reacher but his lack of physical likeness will be overcome by Toms intensity and great action and acting.
"Good twists"
Reacher does it again. Even though the conclusion was a bit wimpy and some of the antics of dodging bullets seems unreal.
"Kept me listening to the end."
This story had an interesting premise and I wanted to know how it worked itself out. It's a Jack Reacher novel. He is an interesting character. I'm not sure what's missing for me but I keep trying to really love this series, but am unable to. I recently read one and I liked reading it better than listening. I know several folks who love this series.
I think Dick Hill does fine with the male voices. However, all the women sound a bit dumb and like they have a New Jersey accent or something. I found the pacing of their voices odd and hard to differentiate and always on the same level: same inflection, slow, and after a short period of time, annoying.
"I'm glad they made this one into a movie"
I've read a few Reacher novels, but this one stood out as being particularly good.
I am somewhat fascinated with the skills and mindset of a military trained sniper. This book delvs into that field. Would a soldier with this training use it on his own, especially if he wasn't able to in a military operation?
Reacher gets involved in an investigation that has overwhelming evidence against the suspect in custody, and he wants to make sure he gets put away for good. The suspect gets beaten in prison to the point of a coma and then amnesia, so he cant defend himself. Questions and irregularities that only Reacher can see are too much to ignore though.
It's a good investigative storyline that kept me interested, and he also kicks some ass.
I look forward to the movie...but 5'5" Cruise as 6'5" Reacher sounds like a stretch...We'll see.
"love this series"
i am really enjoying this series with jack reacher. sure in certain parts there are some either slow spots or over explanations but i am enjoying them and have recommended them to my friends
"love reacher!"
wordy but descriptive
as usual, you don't really know what's going on till the end which I like. COuld have had a bit more character building for the other players but the voice was great.
Dick Hill is a great narrator, with great voice inflection and good with the different genders too. I always like his reading.
not really
"Top Jack Reacher"
Fun easy listen
Jack Reacher remains both charismatic and a dark figure.
Dick Hill covers the spectrum of characters. No favorite, yet he makes them all believable.
No. Have never had the time to do that.
Childs style lends well to the audio mode.

"Kept my interest"
I have enjoyed all 3 of the series by Lee Child, Love Reicher......guess that's how you spell it....
