I loved this author and reader. Though the story was a little James Bondish it still held my interest. The characters are enjoyable. I read earlier reviews which said this is not as good as his earlier books...Lions Gate and Night Fall. I don't know about that but I intend to find out....and I hope that reviewer is correct because I have a lot to look forward to. It is great to discover a new author.
Have read many of DeMille's books and this is maybe the best. FBI agents are not only interesting, they're funny and smart. Plot is very intrigueing and realistic. Highly recommended
Another great book by Nelson DeMille. John Corey is such a wise guy -- constantly breaking up the tight tension of the book. This is one of DeMille's best. A great story and great narration.
The subject line will make sense once you listen to this one. As always, Nelson DeMille injects the story with believable detective work, some great humor, and a little, uh, romantic interludes. I'd recommend this book to ANYONE.
While the language might have it's crude moments, the plot will captivate you, and the "witty banter" between the main characters may have you laughing out loud. Detective or stand-up comic, hmmmmmmm, hard to tell. Does a "Wild Fire" response scenario really exist? This book will have you wondering.
This is the first audio book I have listened to and it set a high standard. It has a diabolical, but plausible, plot, a very irreverent & witty main character and some scary bad guys - the makings of an excellent thriller. The narration is very clear and easy to follow.
