This is light reading that is fun to listen too, especially during the holiday season. It is a "feel good" story that won't win any literary awards but does a good job of keeping you entertained. I enjoyed it!
Thought I had made a mistake but 30 minutes into this book and I was hooked! A great listen just before Christmas!
Sure, I'd love to hear your story....
I must confess that I occassionally drift toward the Grinch side of Christmas, but this delightful book has re-set my mood with a sweet and touching story that hits all the right notes without once being preachy or saccharine. I'm going to add having the family listen to "A Redbird Christmas" as a new holiday tradition in our house.
A wonderful bit of prose. My wife and I found this story to be heart warming and charming. It is reminiscent of Tom Bodet's "The End of the Road" or Andy Griffith's Mayberry. A thoroughly enjoyable small town story. Highly recommended!
Myst/thrillers and ✨fun fantasies✨are my favorites but always open for a good story.
An average Christmas, feel good read. Does not make me want to read more of her work. She does a pretty good job narrating.

This was a very nice christmas story that went beyond christmas, it was actually 2 christmas', and the year in between them.
Oswald T. Cambell so named for the can of Tomato soup that was in his basket at the orphanage he was left at has just received some bad news from his doctor who tells him to get out of Chicago and head south. He ends up in Lost River Alabama after his doctor gives him an outdated brochure for a health spa that turns out burned down over 20 years ago. But what he finds is a quaint little town with more women than men. the town is full of characters and grocery store owner with a pet redbird.
This was a fun little book I don't always enjoy christmas books that are too sweet & sappy this one had just the right amount of both along with a really good story, Fannie Flagg has written a heartwarming, humorous story that I would recommend to anyone, especially if you like southern fiction.
I re-read this for our RL bookclub and decided to try it on audio read by the author she did a great job at the narration there were only a couple times when the cadence fell a bit and she had to take a breath at an odd time. I did enjoy this one just as much the second time around this is such a delightful story that has become a christmas tradition for me to read.
I consider this book to be light reading. Simple story, light characters, happy ending all wrapped up. I like to listen to a variety of books and this was a good one for the Christmas holidays when I am so busy.
I wouldn't have changed this book. It is what it is.
She is Fannie Flagg. I recognize her voice from years ago when she was on game shows on TV. Quiet, calm,
I read this book, because it was the December choice for our book club. We try to choose an upbeat book for this time of year. It was an up beat book.
No, and when I started to listen to this one I thought her performance was really odd but it was absolutely perfect as I continued.
