First of all I'm a fan of the books and the movies. Get any other version.
Not this edition if they wanted a more in depth experience than the movie.
Probably the scene with the wolves before they entered Moria.
I wish they would have included Tom Bombadil and the Barrow Downs.
there was to much back ground noise couldn't keep up with what was going on .. to noisy
don;t have one only listened to 2 chapters
couldn't here what they were saying most of the time
i loved the movies and was looking forward to the books but didn't like the back ground sounds
I wanted the audiobook of The Fellowship of the Ring BY J.R.R. TOLKIEN. This rip-off is not the actual writings of J.R.R. Tolkien. the order of events and dialogue is completely changed and NONE of Tolkien's beautiful descriptive writing or his back-history for the world he created is included. Tolkien was a masterful story teller and I was expecting to listen to HIS story not this crap that claims to be the Lord of the Rings in name ONLY. Dont buy it if your a fan!
J.R.R. Tolkien yes but not the narrators.
He did it all. The narrators messed it up.
This is not what you want. If you are looking for a good copy of Fellowship of the Ring, this is not it. Did not enjoy this. Where is the unabridged version?!
The dramatization of the story was horrible and distracting, took away from appreciating the writing and the story.
Whatever my next listen is, it will not be a dramatization.
Why would I cut any character out? The fact this question is included as part of the guided review means that Audible does not value the original story as written by Tolkien; Audible is promoting a bastardized listening experience that is not authentic to the author's original creative vision.
If you really want to promote books and reading, then don't sell dramatizations on your website. Totally a waste of money.
I personally find that dramatised versions are extremelly dull and prevent the listeners to use their imagination and figure out the tone in which most of the conversation happens.
All in all, I've read this book 4 times and this is the first time I've listened to it in audio format.
I downloaded this in the hopes it was like the movie or similar to it. I was very disappointed. There was too many differences between this and the movie, now i have yet to read the actual books, but if you enjoyed the movie i doubt you will enjoy this.
