I would rather have read this one. I did not enjoy the way it was performed.
It took very long but I suppose in the end justice was served.
I'm not sure but Dick Hill did a terrible job. He cannot read a woman's voice without making her sound weak and stupid. That was not appropriate in this book. It was really annoying.
Did not read the book only audio
The girl get revenge and how she fooled them all.
Excellent, Great voice
Good work on a great book. Recommend to all
I love Dick Hill's narration and even he could not save this book for me. I usually like Brown's books and I commend her for tackling a such a heavy subject as rape, but this was such a weird book and it wasn't just because a man was reading the rape scenes that made me queasy, although that didn't help. The whole book felt skeevy and I wish I could un-listen to this one.
Yes. This particular book didn't thrill me but I like the author.
I like Dick Hill's narrations and this one was on level with all the others I've listened to by him.
The characters are all there for a reason.
If you are an emotional person, you will experience quite a few of them with this book. It's a good listen with a bit of nail biting tension and a dash of revenge.
Yes, but it's definitely a
A different narrator that didn't
It kept my interest enough to want to return to it to see what would happen next and how it would unfold.
Many explorations and adventures await!
Unbearable sex scenes (had to skip each part that's how cheesy) ...as with most of Sandra Brown's books I read she makes men out to be so shallow and one minded...although a man myself I know how we think, but NOT all of us are the way she portrays. Sadly the story is just that a story without a doubt like watching a soap opera....oh well, least it was only $4.95 :-/
Narrator did an EXCELLENT job as always Dick Hill is the best
I have read some Sandra Brown books that have been great mysteries. This was not one. I have since learned that much of her earlier work was closer to romance than mystery. This was a little of both, but way to much toward the Romance Genre for my taste.
This book is typical Brown. As I have read her over the years, she is like great wine. Just keeps getting better.
Jade. Because she didn't give up and she worked towards justice.
Yes, it is a fantastic long road trip book.
If a family owned a town and wielded as much power as the Padgetts, $1M shouldn't have put them into total ruin. The revenge plot was fantastic, but should have gotten to them in other ways that totally ruined them. Like mortgage the family homestead.
The story was interesting if perhaps not totally believeable. I really felt the narrator ruined it for me. Maybe there were too many characters for one narrator but you could not tell the character by the voice. They all sounded like middle aged or older men.
