This story picks up where Extreme Measured ended. Mitch Rapp again continues to protect America from terrorists while doing pokitcal battle with congressmen and senators who do not like his tactics. If you are a Vince Flynn fan, you will definitely like this latest book. I would recommend you consider reading Extreme Measures first as it will significantly help establish the characters and story line. My only criticsm is that at the end, the pace of the story accelerated greatly and there was much less detail provided. I don't want to give the story away, but the consequences that led to the final "event" should have been anticipated by Rapp and his bosses. However, these are minor annoyances as I had a hard time not just sitting down and listening to the whole book. There were also plenty of loose ends left that could find their way into the next book - I can hardly wait.

I have listened to all of the Mitch Rapp books and really like this series. I think all of Flynn's books are well researched. I didn't feel that it was a rehash of the previous books. There was some description of what took place in the previous novels, but by no means was it excessive. I would recommend listening to the series from the begining. I'm hooked and can't wait for the next one.

I've listened to all of the Mitch Rapp books. Fast paced and enjoyable. I enjoy that he is not politically correct. Just out for what's best for the country. Go Mitch!!!

This book, probably due to the fact that it's somewhat short, introduces a lot of characters very quickly at the beginning of the book. It almost lost me there. After awhile though, I did catch on to all of the characters, and it blossomed into a very exciting story. This is my first Vince Flynn book, so I'm now going to go backwards thru the Mitch Rapp series!

This was my first Vince Flynn book and I am hooked! Flynn nails the atmosphere here in DC on the head.

In contrast to my intolerance of Patricia Cornwell's psycho-babble that has replaced the intrigue of her classics, Vince Flynn has me looking forward to every opportunity to hear more. The theme incites emotion to the point of wanting to write my senators to make sure they are not thwarting the actions of a real life Mitch Rapp. To think our government wants to hold our soldiers ciivilly responsible for doing things that are captured in Flynn's "fiction" to keep us free and safe makes me think of them as the traitors putting principle in front of life and death practicality. Hopefully his books will inspire some of our youth to emulate Rapp in coming to the service of our country. His tragedies make me somber and his victories make me cheer. The great authors evoke emotion those lesser talented make you reach for the fast forward control. Keep them coming Mr. Flynn.

Although I agree with the author's politics and characterization of the 'INSIDE THE BELTWAY' it does detract from the storyline.

I rarely write reviews but this one deserves high praise. It helps if you read Extreme Measure, the preceding book but is not necessary. Quick paced, just enough description, and great story telling. George Guidall is absolutely the very best reader there is. His reading is real story telling. Thank you Vince Flynn and George Guidall

I'm just in the middle and already thinking about how sad it would be when it ends. I'm absolutely addicted to Guidall's voice and to Flynn's writing!

Simply the best series available.
