I am a fictional reader. I like strong female characters that's don't require a romance story line.
it is an easy listen for adults. characters are engaging. i can hardly wait for the next book in the series.
the voices are brilliant!
I love the Artemis fowl books and Audible lets me enjoy the series while also doing chores! It makes boring jobs interesting. The Opal Deception is a great, beautiful book, possibly the best so far in the series. Nathaniel Parker is extremely talented and his voices for each of the characters are superb. This book is a must-listen!
Another teen book that gripped me from start to finish. I have aged along with the characters well I'm a bit older but I stay with the story and emotion. Nathanal makes you feel as so your are there you are a friend or enemy in the story. worth every cent and word
The performance was excellent. The story felt rushed to a strange conclusion. This book changes the direction of the characters' lives, but honestly I thought there was supposed to be more to this story.
good for one time listening. some parts in the story are pretty gud. quite a few are predictable. but overall the story is woven well.
orator's performance is good. voice isn't raspy, so can hear through car speakers too without it starting to irritate u.
Sci-fi, detective, cozy. Only give 5s to those books I think stand above the rest. 4 is a good solid book. 3 is average, nothing special.
Another great installment in the series. Much of the humor is similar to te earlier books, but good story telling so it continues to amuse.
This series is fun. I especially enjoyed the potty humor in this one. Yes, I'm a grown-up. I think that makes me enjoy it all the more. Excellent performance from Nathaniel Parker.
Don't get me wrong reading a book is awesome, but a great narrator makes the book come to life (more for me at least)
Mulch Diggums due to his awesome set of abilities and smart-allic nature.
Great accents that I wouldn't of put to the characters.
Yes. The narrator is so entrancing and the story is so intricate. It's like Harry Potter (I am a faithful fan) with more humor and violence. In a good way, of course.
Well, anytime Mulch's bumflap is mentioned, I giggle, and I am over 50 years old...
But maybe it was Artemis's plan to foil Opal's plan while moving at incredible speed, with all those layers of deceit that had to work or else...
He does all the accents and personalities so well, I just can't get enough of him. If only I wasn't already married.... In fact, I listen to various Artemis Fowl books several times. I never tire of the voices or stories.
An incredible mix of courage, genius, and various types of interesting beings...held together by magic, loyalty and high tech gadgets!
Like I said, I am over 50 and the main character in this series is just becoming a teenager, yet the story still thrills me.
