I am not enjoying the narration and I am finding it hard to get interested in the characters like I did in the other books. There is an awful lot going on and not a lot to hold it together.
What's the point?
The plot quickly gets lost in the endless characters and drawn out dialogs.
By the way what is the deal with all of the love interests?
Although this book is way better than Hunted (Book #5) I don't think that I will continue reading this series.
Cassandra Morris did a good job narrating The Darkest Powers series not so much on this book.
Ok, this is not the best House of Night book ever...the plot seemed to meander sometimes, take a while to get where it was going. However, there's finally some resolution to the whole Stark-Heath-Eric triangle...who stays and who goes. And the book ends on a really uncomfortable cliffhanger, can't wait for the next book.
OK. I love love love this series! But I HATE that they have switched narrators AGAIN! This is the 3rd narrator! She does OK... But I think I like the narrator for books 4 and 5 the best.
ANYWAY. Good book. A continuation of the Zoey saga. Love it! Aphrodite is my favorite character!
The person reading this book changes the pronunciation of everything! I usually do not complain about the Narrators and I wouldn't have complained about the tone of the voice (even though it wasn't as good as the last one) BUT she could have at least listened to one of the other books so that she used the same pronunciation. That drove me crazy, I found myself constantly correcting her. :)
Loved the story (so I gave it 5 stars), can't wait for the next one!
I love to read and listen to books. I'm a hair dresser. I live in New York and I have 5 children. All grown. 30, 27, 24, 23, 19. And I Love them all very much.
Stevie Rae is taking care of a raven marker WOW.
The Red Fledgings are trying to kill Stevie Rae.
Ok i'm not from a english speaking country but still this was really bad! The worst by now. Hope the next one is better:)I'm not done with the book yet, but i don't get so "hungry" for this one when the reader sounds so boring!
The book itself was good, but i think that the narrator could of made each character sound a little more different from each other. I just wasn't feeling how each person was what the book was trying to portray. Other wise, love the book.
Like many others, I have read/listened to all the House of Night books. This isn't the best, but the narrator makes the audiobook almost unbearable. I am so glad I bought the hardback for my daughter - I ended up reading the book instead of listening to it. This narrator sounds like a 12 year old kid, which is insulting to 12 year olds. She basically reads the story, and you cannot tell which character is speaking. The main character and her friends are 17, 18 and older. Get a narrator that matches their age.
As for the story, there are too many story lines going at once, and it ends with a terrible clifhanger. I will continue to read the series, but will not buy another audiobook with this narrator.
I have enjoyed the series so far because of the story, not as much the stellar writing. I won't belabor the point about the narrators although I agree w/ the previous reviews. The story did drag and could've been a chapter or two in another book. My biggest complaint is that when you want to get rid of a character by making him/her a jerk, you have to do more than just have all the characters all of a sudden after 4 other books to the contrary just up and start saying they are a jerk. And since when is it possessive to be mad at your significant other is kissing, and sleeping with other people?
