SUPERB!!! I loved this story and I think the narrator is very good. I would love to hang out with the charecters in this book! Be sure to read the "trash" book first because this story reflects back to it. I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!
I like that you don't know until the very end "who done it".
I like this author's style of writing,.
Very interesting method of discovery.
The accent is just a little over the top. Being from Texas, and having lived in West Texas, while the accents are pretty thick, this just isn't the way most people sound.
I will continue to listen to the rest of her books. I hope she writes more.
I thought this book was going to be as corny as it's title but I was wrong. This was an interesting and well plotted book. The characters were likable and relatable. The plot was interesting and funny. The narrator, Peggity Price, did a good job with the accent and the voices for each character. Although I have high praise for this book, I did feel like there was too much talking. I felt that the book was a little too much romance novel and not enough mystery novel. I'm hoping that in the next book it will be a little more mystery. If not I will still probably buy the third and possibly the rest of the books in the series because the so far I like what I have started.
This book is light - fluff really, but not everything needs to have deep meanings. The Dixie Cash, Domestic Equalizer series lets you step down from the day-to-day cares.
This was touted as a "hilarious, fun book", but the humor is trite and the writing is juvenile. The narration is flat and unimaginative at best. Ms. Price's lisp is a little disconcerting as well.
I thought this was a very cute, light-hearted story with some laugh out loud dialog. If you are looking for something fun in the chick lit department, this book is perfect. The narrator didn't drive me nuts like she did others, but she did pause a lot. Don't let that sway your decision - it is still a great listen.
Light hearted mystery who dunit that keeps you laughing as the plot and clues twist and turn! Loved it!
And since I am neither young, nor a horsewoman, it is not for me. The narrator reads clearly but very slowly. Our heroine is a young, beautiful and impetuous Texas hairdresser, who internally stomps around without taking much else into consideration. She is surrounded by patient understanding folks who recognize her longing for her ex-husband, the handsome Sheriff. I am not saying that this isn't a story for anyone, I just couldn't listen far beyond the beginning. Too much of a bodice ripper for my taste. Good Luck.
yes I would recommend this book to a friend because it's a decent, light mystery
this is my first book by Dixie Cash
Easy to tell the characters apart
i don't know
It's a bit of a bodice ripper to me, but several of my friends enjoy the romance mixed in with the mystery.
Any book by Janet Evanovitch
She has the ability to put you in west Texas.
I truly enjoyed this book. The narroration was great, the story was engaging. I am looking forward to the next book.
