I listen to books to be entertained... my favorite genre is a "Legal Thriller" I have actually been a member since 2001. Love my books!
Wow! This book was written in 1998 from what I can tell. Although I could kind of tell from the very beginning where the story was going, it is Stephen King's masterful pen that makes the journey so interesting. I love about half of what Stephen King writes. I just can't get too involved when it gets too super natural. This book falls in that category, along with Shawshank Redemption, Delores Dolores Claiborne, and Misery to name a few. I do love those books and therefore the author.
A busy lady, just tryin' to fit her reading in where she can!
While I should not be surprised that a story about a Nazi would be disturbing, it did catch me off guard how disturbing this story actually was. The transformation of main characters through the story and how two seemingly harmless people could become so deranged.
I cautiously say this is so far one of my favorite King stories, it was the first story in a long time that really made me shudder.
loved it. I have never struggled to Finnish a King book. He has been my all time fav for years. I am his Number one Fan.....LOL
Loved this story. The most interesting and creepy thing was that Stephen king somehow can make you a little empathetic towards the old man. I wish the ending went a little deeper into detail but this book really helped me forget about my hour and a half commute. Id definitely recommend it
Hi! I just wanted to post this because I think there's been a mistake. It says Frank Muller read this, but it really doesn't sound like him. Would love some feedback to find out.
This Stephen King book is very well written and has great narration. It wants to keep you listening. About an old Nazi and a young boy.
Enjoy listening to many different types of books. I like to listen while I am in the car and working.
OK book, not the best but it is an interesting story
The old Man
Evil never sleeps
definitely. The movie adaptation left too much of the story out.
It's hard to say exactly. All of them seemed a bit strange.
They were all performed well.
The sequence where the old Nazi is confronted by the Israeli Agent in the hospital.
The book is far more graphic than the movie adaptation.
This was my first experience with listening to books and I think it was a perfect 1st pick. It kept my attention and it was very hard to stop once I started. Now I am ready for more!
