The reading of the book of night moon
No I have not.
I would not make a movie of this book I do not believe film the ultimate media.
Is one of the most serious fantasies i have come across and still had a fun time reading it. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. there have been times that have brought me to tears, and time to like so your point but has come together and made this a great read.
1) it was boring. I finally gave up on it -- it kept putting me to sleep (so buy it if you have insomnia!!). I finally gave up on it - and I finish basically all books I buy.
2) it is NOT like Harry Potter books, other than its about a couple of kid wizards
3) its not funny. its not 'riveting'. its not interesting.
4) normally I don't comment on narrators, but this one didn't do it for me at all.
Please don't waste a credit!
The story line of this book is really intriguing. It is a really interesting story, built well, but a little hard to follow. However, the voice actors or narrator is really bad, which makes the book seem worse than the story actually is.
I have loved this book ever since I first came across it (about 20 years ago). It touched the wistful child in me (Oh! I WANT TO BE A WIZARD). To hear it read, helps me paint in my mind the adventures all over again.
This is a wonderfully written story that I enjoyed read as a child. It is fast moving and stretches the imagination both fantastically and surprisingly scientifically. The reader is also very gifted with accents which made it a treat to listen to.
Knowing it is a children/young adult book, I read the reviews before buying this. I do not agree that it can be read by adults. It is VERY childish. Perhaps good for children- but adults... beware! I can not even finish listening to it. And it has nothing on Harry Potter- the first books anyway.
This is the first in her series. The person reading a book can make or break a good book. With this reader and the book everything kept me hooked. I didn't want to put it down.
I had high hopes for this series but after listening to them I was highly disappointed. I'm amazed that anyone could make magic this boring.
The author also uses this book to insert her own Darwinian views that neither add to, nor improve the slow moving storyline.
