Listening to audio books help make the long commute into work tolerable. Favorites are Liane Moriarty and Jennifer Weiner.
This was my least favorite book that Sparks has written. Even though the narrator was good and the twist at the end was pleasing (done in true-Nicholas Sparks fashion), this book was hard to get through and very boring - a total snoozer! It dragged on and on. The narrator's thoughts were written in elaborate prose which I didn't think was natural. The most exciting parts about this book were references to Noah and Allie -- the narrator's in-laws.
Greater Seattle area real estate broker that loves to read...or listen.
Hearing more of Noah - what he and Allie had together, and what their influence brought.
That Noah never stopped loving Allie, even in her death.
His voice was perfect as the character...talented storyteller.
Maybe from Nicholas Sparks, but his endings are so dramatic. I loved this one all the way up until the end, and then it felt like the book was trying to outdo itself and my immediate response was, "is this really happening?" Disappointed in that.I liked Tom Wopat. I did not, however, like that he voiced the female characters as well. It was overdone and too weird to take seriously.
Just let the ending happen without the big drama of it being about the main couple instead of the daughter. It was just too grandiose.
Deep, soothing, relaxing
Remember this story when it comes to my own marriage. Things cannot be taken for granted and life goes by too quickly to get into routines and not make an effort. Every day and every action should be considered to make the most of a life you choose to create with someone.
I'm sorry I use my one free credit on this. I'm not even going to finish it .
There should be two. A women and man .
I would listen to it again because it is such a sweet story.
I loved the honesty of Wilson.
When I first started listening I wasn't sure I was going to like Tom Wopat's voice.... but by the end of the first chapter I was hooked. He was so good. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job.
Wilson! I loved his honesty and sincere character.
This book was Nicholas Sparks at his best. I really enjoyed it. It was so hard to stop listening!
I enjoy listening to a book while working out. It makes the time go by faster.
It felt as if this could be a real person's story not just fiction.
He's a good actor. He is superb with the male voices, but the ladies are a stretch for him.
I loved the suprise near the end. I wasn't expecting one that big. I don't want to give away the story, but this guy LOVES his wife.
A great book to stir those feelings you had in the beginning of your marriage if you've lost them. I feel good book.
I was very moved when I realized that the wedding was for his wife.
The story was just really slow. It was sweet in the end but I barely made it there.
I have been a Nicholas Sparks fan ever since listening to the first recording of the Notebook with Campbell Scott as the narrator. This book is every bit as good as the Notebook. What woman wouldn't want a husband to take notice of how your lives are growing apart and one who would want to bring you back together? To me that is truly love, compassion and caring. This book includes Noah and his wisdom as well as introducing us to some new characters who only keep you guessing and laughing as this story builds to its wonderful conclusion. Truly an enjoyable listening journey
