I was so looking forward to this book. Although the story starts out ok the entire plot line with Ivy is extremely irritating and non-sensical and unfortunately ends in such a manner that this story line can only continue in future books. Big bummer because I really liked Rachel, Jinks and several other other characters and greatly enjoyed listening to the first two books.
Just not gone there with Ivy. It has nothing to do with homosexuality either. You need to listen to understand, but honestly I don't recommend it.
Her narration is fine.
Most of the middle and end scenes with Ivy.
The reader was not performing this book, at best she is reading it with emphasis. And the Bad language was the worst part. It seems the author can not go a sentence with out putting in some curse or foul thought. I couldn't even finish the book.
Lack of enthusiasm.
waste of time and I wish there was a way to know if a book is going to have bad language in it before trying to listen to it.
Beginning: Carpenter Middle: Marine then Firefighter Latter part: IT Admin; Books have always provided fuel for my imagination to feed on.
The expansion of her skills into demon curses.
The twisting of a demon curse.
Her intimation of each character in a well played fashion.
Laughed many times.
I love the story arch and where it is going regarding RMM and what buttons she likes to have pushed. Most of us go our entire lives not acknowledging our buttons much less asking someone to push them.
No. This is not what I thought it would be. Marguerite Gavin's voice hurt my ears. I need a lower range to be able to enjoy the narration. As to the Book itself.. I thought I would try a different genre. I guess I'm not a fan of sexy witches, warlocks, werewolves, etc.
nothing- it is just not my type of read.
Not having read the print version it would be unfair to comment; i am a fan of the author, the Hollows story and characters are inviting, exciting and come to life during the reading. I will be reading the next instalment.
This book allowed the readers to learn of the deeper traits of many characters. I couldn't possibly pick a favorite.
The island werewolf encampment, the bridge scene and the return to the hollows were possibly my favourites. I couldn't stop - every free moment a reached for it.
The relationship between Rachel, Ivy and Jinxs. The scenes unfolding throughout gave deeper glimpses into their dynamics.
Don't stop !!

I feel like the series really hit it stride with this book. Where the first few books felt a little slow in spots, this one was action all the way through. A lot happened, and while the relationships still feel a little over-dramatic at times, I'm enjoying the development of the characters. Looking forward to the next one!
Audio books are just my cup of tea!
I am enjoying this series. But, this was by far the best book yet! In this one you learn what makes a lot of the main characters tick. Now if you have listened the the first 3 books in the series you may have figured Ivy and Rachel out. Well I hadn't! Even Kisten, Nick and Jenks surprised me a little.
Here's my recommendation, if you stopped at book two or three in the series it is worth it to make it to book 4!
The narrator Marguerite Gavin is wonderful. But I will say that the production quality was not great. At one point I had to double check that the speed was not at 2x.
I would say is definitely worth a credit!
One of My Favorite Authors would listen to this one again. I simply love her sense of humor.
The gang is off on an adventure: Rachel, Ivy, Janks, Jacks, and Nick. Rachel is in need of some stronger charms, bordering on black magic. Rachel and Janks experience transformations. There is really a lot of action that takes place in this book. I am relieved that there is none of the vamp seduction like there was in book 2. Janks provides tons of comedy. A powerful ancient item is up for grabs, who will be the finders/keepers? When finally arriving back home at the church, Kisten and Madelina are glad to have them back.
Yes it was entertaining. This far into the series however, it would be great if Rachel actually made some good decisions. Let us see her grow
Rachel never learns. Let her grow some please
The other Rachel Morgan books. She is very good performing this series.
