I was slow to warm up to this character, but it didn't take long before I didn't want to turn my player off. Great storyline. I nearly laughed out loud on the train. I didn't quite get used to the reader. Kate's voice didn't match my idea of how Emma would sound, which would have been more like Emily Gray's narrative style or how Renee Zelwegger played Brigette Jones. But still loved it.
Fantastic! Emily captures Becky's essessence wonderfully. Other characters also depicted superbly. I enjoyed the first and looked forward to this novel. Humor abounds here also and turns to a beautiful love story. Listening to Becky's saga I find that I see myself in a lot of her situation. Particularly as she rationalizes choices the is making. Suppose that any consumer could relate to her to some degree.
I'm getting all of Sophies novels. She's in my short list of favorite authors.
Enjoyed this audiobook, as well as the others in the series. Having Emily Gray read the series brings continuity that adds to the enjoyment, in my opinion.
This series is great! I know, it is all about shopping, and how bad of a situation you can get yourself in. It is silly. And, that is what I like. It is easy to listen to and funny. Emily Gray reads it wonderfully. I hope this author continues the series and writes more!!
After being so pleased with the first title in this series, "Confessions of a Shopaholic", I was apprehensive that the sequel wouldn't measure up. I was pleasantly surprised and I found myself once again rooting for Rebecca Bloomwood to get herself out of mess after mess. Linda Gray is an excellent reader. I've never seen her, but in my mind, Ms. Gray IS "Becks".
I love both the author and the narrator indeed. They're so talented, funny and vivid. I did enjoy every single page and it's far more than just FUN!
Listen on people!
I have liked some of the Shopaholic's....finding them light, amusing & funny. Found myself getting board with this one. Just could not finish it.
I guess this will be the last Shopaholic book I listen to. I do enjoy Sophie Kinsella's other books and characters BUT Rebecca Bloomwood is a pathological LIAR and she has become far too annoying for me to want to listen to any more of her stupid antics.
I throughly enjoyed this book. I loved Beckys letters. No, it is not funny to be in debt, but this is F-I-C-T-I-O-N. I was able to enjoy this book, because I know the difference between fact and fiction. Funny, Funny, Funny. I had to read the entire series and it left me wanting still more in the series and more from Sophie Kinsella.
