It is worthwhile and more could be gleaned from multiple readings. Much is common knowledge but there is always another gem to be gathered.
It isn't as much story as philosophy, but its points are illustrated with artifacts of historical events, it is like being mentored by Genghis Khan.
But it is hard to understand how it is intended to be organized.
Yes, many in fact for Scott. This very well read by both voices.
Yes, and its duration made that convenient.
Use of the two narrators in the manner that they where used in was extremely insightful. This decision made the understanding and following the continuity measurably easier. As this is a non-fiction work, the "story" mark is really a non-issue, as such I graded on the quality of the matterial contained within. If you have an appreciation for stratagem and tactics then you must indulge in thi book. Even through the monotone dictation of the narrators. A must read/listen.
A book with universal truths and a timeless wisdom that is necessary to understand if you are in business. A critical insight if you do business with ruthless people. Also it imparts the importance of preparation necessary for success in just about anything. I wish I had read it sooner.
They say the teachings of this book can be applied to many more areas in life than just war, and they are right. We think we are oh so smart today, but it is common sense that wins the day - then and now. A classic for any culture.
This ancient text is insiteful, charismatic, and tested by centuries of warfare.
Yes. It was worth the time spent.
I am a Scott Brick fan. The story is a classic and can be used in many parts of your life but isn't one of those page turners.

Creative War Strategies
I listened to this book because I have seen it listed among good business books to read. I was expecting more business correlations. It was very different than I expected, though I was surprisingly pleased with it. A very interesting collection of war tactics...I can see why he did so well in war!
To actually study the Art of War, I think you need the text in front of you to mull over. But if you've got to travel a short distance for a meeting or something, this is a great couple of hours to get you pumped up.
how could you not consider a text written over 3000 years ago, and still hold true today not a great text. (side note: the Bush, and Nixon administration would've been well surved if they'd read this book before going to war.)
anyway, it's a good book, if your interested in what works.
