Really, really weak. The characters are unrealistic and the romance is silly. More of a Harlequin romance than anything else. Highly rated, so I expected much, much more. Total fluff.
Some unexpected twists and turns. Being pulled into the story.
This is clearly a book for people comfortable with Christianity, which I am. What is disappointing is how cliche the story and family became. Everyone down with big challenges and they get together to meet their challenges. Everyone is so larger then life as to be unbelievable.
Didn't really have one.
I'd make the characters less sappy and more human.
I thought the series might improve but it plays on the same template
First book I have read of Dee Henderson and LOVED IT. Loved the Narrator Tom also!
Back to look for more by this Author and Narrator!
He makes you feel like you are there and part of the lives of the charactors.
The reading was very good and a great story. I'm even listening to it again since I'm sure I missed some of the story the first time around
I liked this book as a bit of escapism, but it really isn't very deep. It was a good story and the set up of the O'Mallys is creative, 7 adoptive siblings, each with his/her own unique problems to be dealt with. It just isn't my schtick. I found it too unrealistic in parts, and pretty predictable in others. Although I'm not unhappy that I read it, I most likely will not purchase the rest of the series.
Yes, if I were reading and not listening it would be hard to put down.
A good who done it, or rather why
The female parts. His voice as a female was irritating
I love the O'Malleys. These books make you want to be part of this amazing family.
I have read the entire series, but hearing the audio book brings them to life.
This is a wonderful story.
The story line is good. However, unless you like mild sexual undertones and huge religious overtones, don't bother.
