Great for improving your attitude & life.
This is one of Deepak's best works.
How to improve yourself.
I did not like the reader (Deepak). I found him to be a little flat and often my mind would wonder, and I'd have to rewind.
Facts presented in the beginning of the book are interesting. However, I found that the same content was repeated too often. I'd look at my iPod to see if I accidently hit the "back" button.
This is a self help book and it was difficult to follow some of the quizzes and really benefit from them. Possibly this would be better in print?
I did not finish the book. I felt much of the material could have been covered in less time.
I’ve read so many books on our shadow selves. Here the author takes his own book about realizing your shadow self and takes it to on eliminating the shadow self. There are, so many books on this subject and because we don’t have decades to meditate as the Buddhist do we need to read books. While reading this book I started to see and apply the lessons from the book ‘The Five Elements of Effective Thinking’.
If you want to help yourself in every area in your life then this book will get you started. Remember that this is a journey and your are a ‘Do it yourself project’ . Only you can keep moving yourself forward and only you can decide to keep going. You will have many teachers and lessons along the way. Here is one that will help you.
I have read and own several of his books and he is brilliant. That said, the information is good but Dr. Chopra is very difficult to listen to. His accent, along with his monotone delivery and what sounds like a lisp, I just couldn't get through it. I'll try it again later but he should really consider having someone else read it.
Insightful; cutting edge thinking and well needed for the times. Will need to read it 5 more times before I can begin to say I get it. It's Already changing me!
Amazing guidance that opens the mind to how important our bodies and soul are to our being here - loved every word - thank you
This book is chalked full of universal truth after universal truth, backed up by science and made relatable via personal anecdote. It will raise awareness and level of consciousness if one is seeking it, open to it and ready. Anyone who has read this book will find it ironic as a side note that as I am writing this review I hear, "row, row, row your boat gently down the stream", drifting from the TV in another room.
This was my second time listening to the great book and with time and age I gained more insight to myself..I look forward to my 3rd time.
