This was very entertaining, hard to stop listening to. No great depth. Good propaganda for Patriot Act fans and those who support the Bush/Cheney doctrine, but if you can put that aside, you'll enjoy the book.
Lover of good ideas
This is my first but certainly not my last Vince Flynn book. He had you hooked from the beginning. He pulls in current events and stories out of the headlines which makes his story all the more real. He does a pretty good job of character development and his story is engrossing.
I am a new fan of of this author but will remain a permaenent fan. I liked this one so much I saved it on cd to share with my friends.
Consent to Kill keeps the listener engaged through most of the story. Characters are well developed and engaging. The story suffers from too quick of a conclusion. Over 90% of the narrative is spent on leading up to the central event, and then the resolution of the tale was hurriedly presented. The story would have been more enjoyable if equal time had been spent on the chase as was spent on leading up to the chase.
Say something about yourself!
I have read all of Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp books up until this one, and loved them all. His books are the kind you make deals with yourself to stay up longer to read "one more chapter." This was no different. Very exciting to listen to the narration. As usual, the topic is relevant and makes an American wish/hope there is someone out there watching our backs as Mitch does in Mr. Flynn’s books; but Superman does not really exist.
His portrayal of politicians is so real…sad but true. The few good all mixed in with the magnificent egos. I highly recommend this book, and any of his other books.
This is one of the best books I have read in a while. It's the first time I've read this author, but I will definitely put him on my "favorites" list!
I couldn't "put this down." Mitch Rapp is at his best. The story is intriguing and the characters richly drawn out. The way the CIA is portrayed when taking matters into their own hands for hte sake of national security is not quite politically correct these days but to me this is just a story, exciting in a James Bond style. Pure adventure, on the edge of your seat thrilling, right to the end. Even the main antagonists get under your skin. Don't pass this up if you like spy thrillers.
