This series is an all time favorite of mine. The characters, plot, pacing, and suspense that keeps me coming back for more. I find these novels to be written intelligently with no super heroes, theatrics, or super powers. Realistic, with a suspense that keeps you turning pages. Great stories by a great author. The narration is perfect!

I think there is some steady improvement overall in Mr Silva's writing. Some passages seem to bog down and I often leave this book and listen to another one or two that I am listening to.
I find that then I often return rejuvenated and ready to dive back in! I don't know if that's just this series of books or just a new audible listening style that I'm developing. 😱
I am biased to audio books. You can listen throughout the day while doing other tasks. This read was easy to follow. Great depth developed around the characters.
A more intriguing plot without a rambling of narration... There was no real story line to this book. To a point of it being awfully boring..
The whole thing was a flop. No suspense. No plot . just like one of those action movies that has a string of events that go on and on and on and on. I think I am going to give this writer a good old rest No more books and wasting of my time...
He is a good narrator . That is the ONLY redeeming feature of this book.
really disappointing !!!
Silva's earlier work was more interestingly spun and he did have a story line... I wish he would pick that up. without just rambling on..
I fully agree with other reviewers about sub-standard narration for this and several other Gabriel Alon books. The faulty pronunciation of French, Russian, Hebrew, and British English detracts from Silva's lovely settings. Makes the whole thing seem kind of mundane. From here on out I'll skip this narrator's renditions.
Against advice from just about everyone in his personal and professional life, Gabriel travels back to Russia and struggles to get back out out again alive. Great story line! Incredible plot.
We listened to a couple of hours of this story when we were on a long car trip. It was my first Daniel Silva book. The author unnecessarily embellishes and repeats as if he is trying to fill pages. I was so disappointed!
The first half of this book is great as expected from Daniel Silva. After that the plot starts to meander all over the place. There's way too many details for so little plot in the second half.
i did not read the print. the audio book was much more dramatic
moscow rules keeps pace with mr silvas other books. this one however, Gabrial falls into russian politics and bites off more then he can chew.. great story
