I read all the time, or nearly. I always have, I guess, since I was very young ... and now, getting older, more audio than any other medium.
I have read other books in this series, but I liked this one best. The author paid more attention than usual to creating a character and defining his/her motivation. Subsequent books in the series didn't bother with minor issues like character development and Patterson isn't the best author for you if you like characters who behave like real people. It's reasonably good entertainment, though, even if you can't remember it later.
This book absolutely kept me intrigued until the end...much better than the movie!! Im a big Patricia Cornwell fan and Ive already listened to or read all of the Kay Scarpetta series so I've been looking for a new audiobook series and it looks like Ive found it!! You wont be disappointed!!
Daily commuter relying on Audible to keep awake. I need excitement! If something crazy doesn't happen in the first 20 mins I'm done!
I loved this story and loved the movie too! What a twisted and surprise ending. I will not ruin it, but the twists and turns were very entertaining.
I love most of Pattersons books, and this was no exception. I usuall try and listen to series in order, but I had some trouble getting all the Patterson books in the Cross series. It was good to see where things started. This was an excellent book.
Good story. Lots of plot twists. Narration was okay too. Overall, very recommendable. I've got a few other audiobooks to listen to first but I plan to check in with Alex Cross again in the near future.
If you liked the movie version of this book, don't be surprised at how different the actual story is! I won't give it away, but I really didn't know whether I really liked the story in the beginning! It is really good if you separate it from the movie, though.
Along came a spider was an awsome listen with an awsome plot.
What I liked best about this story was how Alex was fooled by hisgirlfriend.
Every scene was the best
Mom of three
I always enjoy books by James Patterson. Some of his books contain more profane language and this is one that does. It bothers me a little more when I am listening to a book like that that when I am reading the book. I understand that this is no big deal to some people -- I just don't want to pop out with any zinging language in my day to day dealings with children, so I try to watch what I listen to. Along Came a Spider is, of course, a GREAT read otherwise!
I don't know. The language was over-the-top for me.
A real page turner. Had to sleep with the lights on.
