The horribly blasphemous language alone would make me advise Christians to refuse to listen to Patterson but the agonizingly long and hopelessly drawn out plot with repeated parts should make it fail for anyone!
I can't really answer this question because I have not seen the printed version.
The most memorable moment of this book was when Maggie (the little girl who was taken) was remembering what her life was like before she was kidnapped from the kidnapper, and she was appreciating the little things with her parents and friends. Just to see from her eyes was something memorable to me, she was strong and hung in there until she got rescued.
I think my favorite scene was when the detective and his grandmother were sitting down at the table and she was telling him that she didn't have a good feeling about this lady cop that he was seeing, not only because of the interracial relationship but because she had a bad feeling about the woman, and come to find out she was right.. that dang woman's intuition.
MMM, I am not sure what kind of tag line I can think of that could describe this book, but it was very interesting. Maybe something on the lines of Who is Who or Who can you Trust in Blue?
I used to like James Patterson. I might try other series by him, but Alex Cross is now off my list.
Charles was a monotone, dead performer. I will probably skip anything he is involved with in the future.
A busy lady, just tryin' to fit her reading in where she can!
I LOVED this book, sometimes audio books can lose my attention but I found my self listening to this book everywhere, at the gym, in the car, and even before bed.
James Patterson has an amazing cast of characters, and there is a always a lot you don't expect, this book was no exception. I really just love Alex Cross's character, he is well written and believable, he is also has an amazing writing style that makes you want to keep listening to the next chapter.
I didn't feel that he did.
This already is a movie, i recommend you see it, but the book is better.
I got tired of the story line being side-tracked. The "love-story" got boring as it interrupted the action and plot...and the ending was pretty predictable. I got to thinking this was filler for an otherwise short story line. I was very disappointed in my first Alex Cross book--as it will be my last.
Patterson - NoTurner - Yes
This is a detective police procedural for the masses. Not for me.
Not bad but could have been better although I think the source material was somewhat limiting.
It is already a movie. I watched it after reading the book. It was worse.
