I don't know if it was my imagination, but it seemed like Fiacre slowed down for this second book in the series. With the slower narration, there weren't the annoying breath sounds like there were in the first one. Great job.

This series is predictable, but no less enjoyable for it. It's good background listening. The narrator is great, his accents are really well done. It's like comfort food in audiobook form. It's great that the story of Maggie and Rogan continues in this one as well.
The story was good, but the reader almost killed it for me. There is a lack of emotion in the reading although the characters were clearing defined in voice, something was missing. I wonder if the reader is used to doing non-romanace stories because his voice is great, but not for a romance. As far as the story, Nora Roberts does it again. I think I'll purchase the book and read if for myself.
The narrator has improved somewhat in this second book or the series. I think the best "performance" was the drunk fellows (no other spoilers). It seems he slowed his pace a little; or maybe I'm getting used to him. But there is still room for improvement.
Fortunately the story is wonderful. I've read many reviews for NR and while there are similarities and cross overs from other stories, it's become a game for me to find them. I enjoy them.
I am currently working my way through every one of Nora Roberts series of books. so obviously I do so love her book and this book did not disappoint. it was a perfect second book to go with Born in Fire. , keep up the good work and keep doing the series 2 3 4 and 5 books. I love them because I don't have to let go over character real quick. I kept to keep them through several books! More please more! I know how long it takes to write a book much less a series of books. That is why even before I'm through with all these series I'm begging for more!

Love the story - really a bad narrator - he talks way too fast & his accents are very bad
Excellent story. Great humor. Passionate story. A trip to Ireland with details down to the sounds and smell. Thank you again Ms. Roberts! I got used to the male narration during the first book. It went better with this second one. It's hard to be able to hear a Nora Roberta' book if it isn't Susie Breck (Garden Trilogy) or Susan Ericksen (Key Trilogy). Those two women are superior performers in the audiobook world.
