If i ranked this book with the other audio books I've listened to (which is well over 100) this woud be in the bottom 25%
Obviously the main characters Rogan and Maggie, I also can't wait to read the next book in the series about Maggie's sister
He did a great job with the inflections in the Irish accent which a non native speaker would have stuggled with but in general I found his narration to be flat. I think a female narrrator would have made it easier to connect to the characters and would have made the story come alive. Susan Erikson would have been a great choice for this series since she was amazing in the The Key Trilogy.
No, I found the monotone voice of the narrator too distracting to listen to the book in one sitting. It took a lot of concentration to block it out and to focus on the story.
As usual anything story by Nora Roberts is wonderful and she is without a doubt one of my favorite authors. I purchased this book on sale and am very glad that I didn't pay full price or use a credit to buy the book. I'll finish the series but will more than likely read them on my own.
Narration was awful! I tried hard to get past it and could not enjoy the story. The story line looks great put may need to read it. Listening to it is not going to happen.
I love Nora Roberts and will purchase more of her Audio books. But nothing from this Narrator.
This novel is a good listen with excellent characterization.
It a great story about a young women's dreams and how she achieves them.
The joy that the heroine exhibits upon receiving a check for her work is exciting.
The narrator sounded like he was on speed. Could he have talked any faster? Half the time I couldn't keep up. The story was boring. A typical romance novel. Drivel. Sorry.
I like Nora Roberts books thats why I picked this one. But I was totally disappointed in the narrator and the story line. I'm going to finish the book, but I won't get the rest of the series.
If You have Irish n your blood and love romance ,You will defitetly like this one . I can Picture the firey Redhead in this book just listening to her discription . I really loved it.
Overall the book was ok, but it was read by a main. The majority of characters were women, and I had a hard time getting into the reading with a male voice.
A poor hard working and self-determined artist is discovered by and falls in love with a rich international gallery owner that makes her famous. What is not to like?
If you like happy endings you will like this one.
Exciting!! Fun!! Lovely!!
Love them all!!
Every scene that Maggie is making her art and blowing glass.
When Maggie made her dream into a piece of art.
I have never had a book that was read by a male voice so to be honest it threw me off... After listening to the first chapter I was hooked. I was pleasantly surprised at how fantastic the characters were portrayed in this audio version. Fantastically done!!!! Loved Every Single Minute!!!!
What a shame that this book was ruined for none-USA readers by the continual use of american terms in the mouths of Irish characters. Lost interest in the book halfway through as I just could not relate to the characters as they seemed so unreal because of this. Nora is usually my favourite author too. Could she not find an Irish editor?
I listened for 15 minutes and could go no further, the narrator is awful!!!! far to fast and no variety in his voice for characters... even when i slwed him down with the narrator speed he was still to fast.... what a waste of a credit
