Practically speaking, secularly positive, altruistic very Zen. However, His philosophy wreaks of "people pleasing" rather than diplomacy and The Charity of God. Advocating Virtues such as Prudence, Temperance, Solid Judgement in everyday practical and personal affairs is a struggle for all of us at best. Doing it without daily prayer, almsgiving, and fasting in ones life reduces all this to altruistic works. When tragedy, real tragedy, hits in our life, and we begin to sweat the big, big stuff: God, not Dr. Carlson will be Who a person needs to turn to. And everything in this life is a reherrsal for The Next and Final Life. So that IS how we are SUPPOSED TO BE LIVING IT.

Great book, but make sure you read it the right way. The helpful tips are like fine wine. Sip them and swish them around. Don't be in a hurry. Read a few minutes per day and it will change the way you move through your day.
This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to deal with adverse and stressfull situations and how to lead a more peaceful life with what you got.
I would recommend it to anyone. Ive been using his advice to improve my stress level and communication. I feel it's working!
Everytime I listen to this book, it calms me down and open-up a new way of accepting and appreciating everything and everyone in my life

It is a book which you can read over and over again to further process and understand the details of the book and best over of all- how to relate such ideas and thoughts to life. After having listened to it once, I look forward to listening to it again in the near future. This book will not only help cal, your inner thoughts but to also rub off on to those around you. A highly recommended book if you're looking for self improvement.
The true question is what didn't I learn? In all aspects of this book, it speaks so much truth and enlightens the mind and soul in so many ways. You learn to look at things in different aspects and to let go of moments and situations which would usually anger you.
