Enjoyable throughout, very visual in the way the story was told, keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout Some parts were predictable, and the ending left it open for future development.
I really enjoyed this book. The narration was great, not flat like some. The story is complex yet easy to follow. The characters really come to life. I love suspense, and get a little disappointed when I can forsee an event coming as I did several times in this story. But I still found it very enjoyable and will read others by this author in the future.
that will not let you go. I was excited for more and just had to get it out of my car to finish it; just could not wait.
Hats off to Andrew Gross who writes an even more exciting book than his first solo story, "The Blue Zone." The characters in "The Dark Tide" are very convincing in this believable page-turner. Gross kept me entertained and in suspense until the very last page!
it takes a little while to "get into" this book but once there it is very hard to "put it down"
I thought the plot of this book was great - it combined romance and intrigue and could have been developed into a great story. Unfortunately, the writing was shallow and amateurish. The dialogue was annoying. If you eliminated every unecessary time someone's name was spoken, the book could have been a chapter shorter. Additionally, we knew Karen wanted to know "why" Charlie did what he did after the 2nd or 3rd time she asked, The next 20 to 30 times she asked could have saved another chapter. While I might not look for another work from this author, I have to say that in spite of being annoyed by the writing style, the book kept me reasonably entertained.
