Communications Professional, Jewelry Artist and Lifelong Reader
Maybe, and that's saying something for me. I'm a voracious reader, but I very rarely re-read books, regardless of format. In over 30 years, the only books I've ever read more than once are "The Hobbit" and "LOTR" by Tolkein, "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte and "A Discovery of Witches" and "Shadow of Night" by Deborah Harkness (and I only re-read these last two for the sake of a book club discussion.) The character of Zhadist is what might lead me to re-read "Lover Awakened". He's very unique, and his story is one of absolute ruin to absolute redemption.
(( So sorry I mixed up my reviews)) Zsadist is one of my favorite characters and I just loved the way the story was written. JR has become one of my favorite authors
I can't compare it. She is an author who can write stories that connect but are not copies of the others. And that is a great in my book!
How Bella's love was able t save Zsadist from himself.
Before I was even finished with this book I was buying the 4th in series! I cant get enough of the is story! Thank goodness there is 10 books I don't know what I will do when it ends!
BEST BOOK EVER
Every moment we got to see into the past was great
He could use a lil bit more emotion and a few slang lessons!!!!!!!! He is just very flat sometimes! But the story is what keeps me listening!
Yes, i teared up a few times! I just love...love
I pray she keeps up the good work!
I'm an eclectic reader. I'm 5 foot 3 in, brown eyes and silver hair. The rest is subject to change.
Jim Frangione gives a wonderful performance. The story is quick paced and well done. You care about the characters. It is a bromance with some steamy sex scenes and that is what makes it a guilty pleasure.
A tad predictable but satisfactory and fulfilling
Where Melissa comes into her awareness of herself as an individual.
I am a 40ish woman with more interests than time but some of my favorite things are books, audio books and e-books. I have over 325 audio titles and have already listened to about 2/3rds of them. I drive over 25000 miles a year and my listening keeps me sane on the road.
Heartbreaking, Powerful, Redemption
Zsadist! He was this tortured creature.. barely recognizable as capable of human emotions and then he is unwillingly forced to face his past and seek something better. His journey is some of the most powerful and emotional writing I have encountered and it is my favorite book in the series, hands down.
Zsadist because it is such a hard character to portray. It could have felt uncomfortable if not performed so brilliantly.
I could barely stop. I listen on the road for work and I hated having to go into my appointments and stop listening. This is also the first book I listened to at home. I just didn't sleep until it was finished. Then I started it over.
This is a pivotal book in the series and it must be read in order.
I loved that Zsadist found love.
Bella being saved.
His narration didn't seem right for this book, but I am sure that there are other books that fit his narration style better.
There were some sad moments, and some laugh out loud moments also.
This is my favorite book in the series so far.
Never trust anyone who doesn't enjoy reading.
I had heard that this book was the BEST one in the series and it DEF WAS! It was so great to learn Zsadist's background and watch him get past his fears with Bella.
I just love him as the narrator. He does an excellent job!
This one is one of my fave books. I love this story of Bella and Zadists. Very HOT, HOT, HOT. Wish I was Bella. JR Ward is a genious with her writing skills. And Jim Frangione is AMAZING! Wonderfully done.
I have to say this such a beautiful love story. The characters are very well developed. I like how the characters stories are touched on in each book. The beauty tames the beast but it most definitely is not an easy path.
