When Bella helps Zsadist accept himself.
He seems very comfortable with the characters and vocabulary of the series.
Yes....but it took several sittings because off other responsibilities.
My Favorite book of JR Ward's Zsadist is my favorite book. He goes through so much and still comes out on top.
I found this book under a review for urban fantasy. This book is listed under Romance however it crosses the line to fantasy. The male charactors remind me of an Anne Bishop or even Jim Butcher story. Although Jim Butcher uses a lot more sarcasm and humor, Anne Bishop and this author really getting into the male psyche, bringing out that women and MEN can have a lot of physical and mental pain simmering in their background motivating their decisions regarding relationships. I love vampire stories and this whole series is the perfect combination of action, storytelling and romance without it becoming over bearing or the steamy love scenes there for no reason.
The only time a winced is when the narrator pronounced Tupok (the rapper's name) as Toopack. --- But that's okay because even though he doesn't go high on the female voices, I think his narration truly moves the story along.
My advise, if you like vampire, real manly man, twist and turns with every chapter, you may like this one but please, start from book one.
This book has the best plot of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books so far. It focused much more on the characters overall and less on the sexual intimacy....not that I mind that, but it was good to get a feel for who the Brothers truly are.
My issue with the narration is the same as with the previous books, though I am starting to get used to it.
This book made my heart clench so much throughout this book from the series. I have listened to this more than once and love Phury and Z in this book. Bella is one of my favourite Females from this series. Left me absolutely satisfied.
OH MY! I am so addicted to this series. You must read them in order to understand the sequence of the characters and their significance to the Saga. Black Dagger Brotherhood series has everything TWILIGHT doesn't. If you are offended by violence & explicit sexual content, then this is not the series for you. J.R. Ward writes with such intelligence, quick wit and consistency. I laugh and cry as I become enthralled with each character.
Each book is as good as the one before which is very unusual. The narrator is definitely the ONE for this series. He actually seems to get better with each book. Spend the credits and buy the entire Black Dagger Brotherhood. I will definitely listen to these books again.
always looking for next interesting book.
If you have read the other two books Zee is the bad/scary/sadist of the group.
But his story tells you why, Zee story is the saddest when I need a good cry I listen to this book. However it is the most rewarding cause you struggle with zee. I was so scared of him b4 I read his story know all I see is "real man". Loved it. Author great, narrator fabulous for this series.
Zsaidist is the dark emotional brother, full of secrets buried in his subconscious. This story shows a great deal of trauma and how the past misfortune can find different answers to coexist with the present. Post traumatic Stress Disorder may not be cured, but it can be treated. Everything is not what is seems.
I see that people either love this series or they hate it. I'm thinking that they are only reading one book at a time, and not in order. If you Don't like Erotic Horror Fantasy. DON'T READ JR Ward books. I have read the first two of the "Fallen Angel" series and I'm hooked. That was the reason I started BDB. I am enjoying the BDB, but find the Fallen Angel series more to my liking so far. I'm up to book 4 in BDB and each one gives a different perspective of each member of the "Brotherhood". Erotic Horror Fantasy is not for everyone, and that is why I think it is important that you know what you are purchasing. I am enjoying the series so far and will continue. I am very much looking forward to the next "Fallen Angel"
