I can find a book to love in any genre -- a beautifully written classic, an interesting mystery or sci-fi, a trashy romance. Bring it!
STORY - Even though this is the third book in this series, it is my first and also my last. I like hot romance novels, but this book seems to have been written just to set up situations for sex. There are some minor subplots, but the main story is about a male warrior vampire, Zsadist, who is mentally screwed up from being used as a feeding/sex slave because he's so well-endowed. He's a very dark character. As other reviewers have said, the book is about a painful journey and overcoming tragedy, etc., which is true, but IMHO it was a very dark, amateur story with hot sex but very little romantic appeal.
PERFORMANCE - Narrator was okay.
OVERALL - I can't recommend this book, but if you like dark, sexual stories with happy endings, you might enjoy this one.
I loved Bella and Zsaiden's story. I couldn't put the book down. This book left me wanting more. I cant wait to here what will happen next with the brotherhood. My favorite book so far in the series.
I love this book! Such a tender love story! Love that Z got his happy ending. I was brought to tears throughout this book!! Tears of heartbreak and tears of tender happiness! When I started reading this book series I said to myself " I can't wait to read Z's story, I know it will be great" ............. Well I was not disappointed. ................... although I'm not happy that the Arthur choose to take trhor mate!!!!!!!:_(
Great book but audible does not have the chapters inline with a hardcover version as JR ward writes books with too many chapters.
I found this to be inconvenient when I wanted to read my hard cover book or when I wanted to pick up where I left off in the car. I spent a lot of time searching for the spot I last read.
Other then that I loved being able to listen to audible when I was busy but had time to listen. The book was amazing , recommend it!!!
This is one of my favorite stories by JR Ward, this is a great romance story with action through out the book. The narrator is not my favorite, however, he did okay.
I love this entire series. Each book sucks you in more and more. I think Lover Awakened is my favorite. It's a beautiful story about emotional growth and learning how to overcome abuse.
My only complaint is about the narrator. Frangione is so monotone and lifeless and it really takes away from the books. I can't tell any difference between characters unless I'm listening to context clues. He makes everyone sound bored no matter the scenario the characters are in. Very unfortunate.
LOVE English Bulldogs, Nelson Demille, Patricia Cornwell and just reading in general!
Yes, because it was a good story and fun to read.
V is my favorite, but Z is a close second. I like his back story and his personality and this book wrote him very well. You could feel his anguish and sincerely wanted everything to turn out good for him.
I didn't have just one in this book. It was really all good. While the lessor's story is relevant, I tend to just skim over their chapters because it's not nearly as interesting as what's going on with the boys!
hmmm, not sure, but I'd love it if there was a mini-series of these, each episode dealing with one of the boys' stories. That's be very cool.
