I always enjoy Bill Clinton's speeches. He's got a lot of good information in it, although he does focus more on the book he wrote, and less on current events. But either way you can't beat the price! :-D
People love him, people hate him. I just find him to be a fascinating character. His discussion about his autobiography and his perspective is fascinating.
Clinton's legendary charm is evident in this talk. He has a spin on life that makes it all just a little lighter. I enjoyed this segment so much.
Clinton seems to have gotten a bit more balanced, offering a balanced view of things. It appears this book will not resort to cheap rebuttal and revenge, but will provide a balanced perspective of his life and things that influenced him, his presidency taken as a whole, and will not blast the current administration with cheap political rhetoric. He is a thoughtful man who continues to learn as his life progresses and he doesn't profess to know it all. I respect him and will read/listen to his book.
I'm Canadian and don't profess to understand American politics or history. Clinton's speech gave me a taste of both that leaves me wanting more. The speech was thoughtful, funny (really funny, actually) and self-deprecating at times. Some portions are professorial without being dry. I hope he is the reader of the audio version of his book. If so, I will buy it.
Like him or not, this is a great speech by a highly popular President. Excellent historical and personal insights. Listen to it and you will enjoy his humor and his transparency.
Without having to expose the weaknesses of the Republican Right, it sounds like the Presidents book will be a vilification of everything wrong with the direction this current administration is headed.
