Another page turner and totally absorbing story. I've read these all several times and never tire of them! I fervently hope there is a "next" one very soon!!
Enjoyed the book overall, though some parts were severely drawn out and boring. The relevant story content for us Outlander could have been effectively delivered in 35 to 40 chapters instead of an outlandish 72. Loved that Briana and Roger both traveled back.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series and how I feel more connected to my Scottish roots when reading it. The performer is awesome and I can usually tell who is speaking before the book reveals who it was. I think I'll keep going.
Diana Gabaldon's tale of Jamie and Claire continues to get richer with every novel and Davina Porter continues to narrate their story magnificently! Mrs. Porter's ability to give each character a distinctive voice and tone breathes a life into the words; drawing you in and drowning you in the world of the Fraziers. I cannot imagine another narrator could do any better justice to Mrs. Gabaldon's epic tale of love, adventure, family, and life.
Disappointed in the way DG handled the reuniting of Claire & Jamie to Brianna after their long journey to find Roger. It was anti climatic. And it surprised me that the author missed this opportunity to be dramatic. It was disappointing. Also disappointing was Roger's return to Brianna and her coolness towards him at first. I think Brianna is kind of a brat.
