I love this series. The characters feel like old friends. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Can't wait to listen to the next book. The narrator has a great voice and does well with the different accents and maintaining the same voice for each character.
I really can't get enough of Jamie. I am also watching the show and can imagine sam as Jamie. can't wait for more and hopefully the story behind Jamie's ghost in book one will be explained at some point. preferably while he is still alive.
The Narrator is so gifted!!
this is my 4th book in the series, & I'm off to listen to more!
I've come to think of these books as the ADULT version of those old Harlequins we read as teens.. And covering such subjects as rape in such a way as to enable the reader to fave their own abusers & let them go in peace. Great Read :)
45 hours was not long enough. Diana Gabaldon's books get better with each one I read. Davina Porter is magical. Her voice clearly creates separate characters. All I wanted to do is listen. Better than watching tv.
By Diana Gabaldan's standards, this is one of her shorter works in the Outlander series. It is written and performed with the same sure touch. Many questions are answered about the beginning of Claire and Jamie's life in the colonies, amid rich description of pre-revolutionary war land and life. Brianna and Roger's story continues.
