"Not a huge fan of perpetual drama"

Its just constant drama. She ties things very well together and I like that about her. This story ended well so I am stopping here.

This is my second time through the audio books and 5th time through the series. It has been my favorite since the 90's! perfect performance and perfect story. Thank you Diana Gabaldon.

"Lovely but too long in audio"

I first read the book in print years ago and decided to listen to it in audio. Davina Porter does a phenomenal job, but I got frustrated with how long Gabaldon’s prose goes on and on and on in audio. Definitely a great listen, but I recommend speeding up.

"Fall in love again and again..."

This is my favorite book from the Outlander series so far! A true romance! The storyline is mesmerizing and so well written. I can easily listen to a section on the drive into work and instantly pick up again later in the day like there was no interruption at all. The struggles, hardships, wins, losses, loves, and very true life lessons of this book and series make it timeless. I love all of the characters like they are friends- even family. To know a character so well from not only physical appearance but on an emotional or psychological level is great story telling and a work of art. This book strikes home for me having seeing and knowing the difference between a marriage based on obligation and a marriage based on love. When given the opportunity to choose love- GOING FOR IT with everything you have no matter the cost. And never looking back.

Diana Gabaldon thank you for creating the most beautiful and treasured group of characters and finding a way to warm my heart day in and day out. ❤️

The story was a bit slow and long winded in places but Davina Porter brings life to each character!

    "Absolutely Obsessed with this series"

I loved this book but I must admit the begining of the book was a little hard to bite. Marsalis wasn't mentioned for the first few chapters and it was irritating. Their travel from Georgia to Aunt Jarcosta's was slow moving and the meeting of the Indians was almost unbearable but once they settled on Fraser's Ridge and Brianna went through the stones the book was throughly enjoyable. I laughed, I cried, and fell in love with the Fraser Clan all over again.

    "another winner"

I loved it, of course. There were a few times I had to take a break as it was slightly more predictable than the others and a slightly slower pace but still, a great continuation to the saga.

"Fraser's Ridge is like Home to me!"

Wonderful story! Jamie and Claire establish the Fraser Ridge community. Diana makes this fictional place sound like one of the most lovely places on the earth. The mountains of North Carolina come alive with her descriptions of Flora and Fauna and of the First People who lived there too. I love to hear the ingenious ways they made this rugged land their home. Fraser's Ridge is my Home!
