I usually read these books, but opted for the audio book this time around. I'm only on Chapter 1, but I don't know if I can stand an entire book with whatever this voice is that Susan is using for Peabody. Or "Peabuddy," as she pronounces it. Another annoyance. And then there's Patsy with her alternating New York/Southern accent. Definitely thinking of returning this one and reading it instead, per my usual.
These is one of my favorites with Mavis and Dr Mira , I was lmao!!! I will definitely listen to it again In the future. Susan does a Magnificent job!! I love the Death Series I would be laughing and crying.
Outstanding! JD Robb's (Nora Roberts) books never let's me down. She leaves you guessing until the end . It's usually not the suspect in the story that I predicted.
I have been reading/listening to the "In Death" series for several years, but missed quite a few along the way - including this one. The most memorable moment was that it made me cry!
Listen for yourself!!!
I couldn't put it down... or should I say stop listening. LOL Loved the story line, the characters seem to come alive. The narrator is hands down the best.
I wish I had not wasted my previous credits on books that I really didn't enjoy, but instead used them for this series!
Love all of the In Death books. Excellent character development and story line is extremely entertaining as always. However, Roarke should have a deeper voice (sometimes too feminine). Also, sex scenes between Eve and Roarke don't have to be so detailed so much; let us use our own imagination more often. Still deserves 5 stars in my book!
Rourke was an unbelievable jerk throughout this entire book. I love his character in all the previous books but he was a chest thumping boor the entire time. Bring back the suave dude we've all come to love!
