This series has me completely hooked...I listen and re-listen.. The characters are very likable and I find myself laughing out loud sometimes. I hope she keeps writing
With Roarke owning almost everything thing in New York it is no surprise that the strip club call Purgatory is owned by him. But a murder of a cop in Purgatory does not look good for him. Dallas finds herself trying to find out why a cop was murder when another cop is killed. The question comes up if they where killed because they know something or is it because they are dirty. With the help of her team and Roarke they must solve the murders of these cops before another is killed. J. D. Robb and Susan Ericksen have done other winner. There is few writers and narrator combinations that are suited for each other, that make the story leap off the drawing board and creates a new world for the listener to walk in too.
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
I am totally hooked on this excellent series. The books always have interesting plots and topped with a perfect narrator you can't go wrong. :)
Reading has always been my guilty pleasure. I would take stacks of books from the library. Now I listen to Audible.
JD Robb and Susan Ericksen are a fabulous team.
I loved this book with it's bigger storyline for Roark. All of the additional voices were excellent as well.
As always, I can't wait for the first words of the next one.
Certainly. It's a very good book in the In Death series with awesome characters and storyline.
The story intertwined the past of the characters and the current mystery they were trying to unravel, without being a fantastic, over-the-top story.
Susan Ericksen, to my knowledge, has narrated most, if not all, of the In Death novels. She has a great voice and is able to cover a multitude of different accents without missing a beat.
I've actually enjoyed the transformation of the relationship between the main character, Eve, and her husband, and the way in which they are struggling to make their different lives fit together.
I have only recently begun to listen to the In Death series, although I've been a Nora Roberts fan for years. But, from the first audio book in this series, I've been hooked!
I've been listening to these police dramas for a while now, and I'm on my second go-round with many of them. Familiar characters start to feel like family after a while, and it's interesting to listen to their relationships develop.
Hard to say -- the narrator or the fact that I identify so strongly with the main character!
Police Work at its Finest!
Listen to them all!
It's one of my favorites; in my top five.
I think all of the characters in this book were relatively complex. I don't know if I had a favorite character, however, I've always rooted for eve and Roarke throughout the series.
She is great as narrator for this series. She does all the voices well, especially Roarke and Eve.
No. The story is long and complex requiring breaks along the way.
Wife, Mother, Sister, and Friend
it made me laugh and cry
great series to start susan ericksen is a great narrator and the story line is good
I love Susan Ericksen's reading the 'In Death' series, she's perfect for the audio version of Dallas, and the others.
I'm not sure what I love about the In Death series, just do, easy to listen to thanks to Susan Ericksen's narration, easy to digest thanks to Robb's writing. Takes me away for a while without a lot of thought provoking deep meanings. No nonsense with a nice niches of comedy, although I could do without the romantic bits, they are also somehow part of the storyline. I'm a sucker for the series.
Loved the story and the development of the characters and only could be narrated by Susan Ericksen. These books are pure entertainment for me and when I am not reading a classic thrillers like Lee Child or Daniel Silvia's books.
